Day 325
Baby-blue
convertible that would not shift into reverse
& Beth cried
& cried when it was sold
Time
seems to have a way of fogging memories, I reckon. We have two cars confused.
When
little Beth was born, I had a 1962 red Ford Galaxy convertible; Candy and I
were in college and money was extremely tight;
I worked at A & P food stores as a stock-boy and a checker with a 3rd
shift job in downtown St. Louis at
AT&T as a computer operator. Ah! Love!
The
Saturday Beth was born, My red chariot decided to refuse to go into reverse.
So?
I parked only where I could pull out---Forward!...Easy fix!?
Our
next car was a 1966 light blue 4-speed Ford Galaxy convertible; when I sold it,
Beth cried and cried and did not want to get out of it. She got over
it---eventually. C’est la vie!
Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “Bye-Bye! Old car!”
Memories!
