Fall-color!---Isn't life simply...Delightful!?

Day 329
Gift certificate
books for the “little girls”
So?
I try to “liven-up” any occasion for the people involved (like this book, for example).
When
our Z. Tyler began celebrating his annual birthdate, I under took to make the
events something special as a way of saying a special “I love you!” Among the
presents---“gift-certificates”…3 X 5 note cards stapled together into a “book”
consisting of nostalgic-pages.
Each
note card contained some reference to an event we had shared (bike riding,
horses, etc.)
I
also included future anticipations like vacations, Cardinal ball games, golf
outings and such.
When
the little girls came along, each of them received a “Gift-certificate” mini-book, also.
When
Z. Tyler turned 21, I did his very last little volume; the girls still get
their “Love”-book.
The
little vignettes evolved over the years; Z.’s white stapled-card eventually
evolved into colored notes, then to decals along with the writings, horses,
cars, ball, music, soccer and more.
They
receive the little “books”, now double punched and tied lovingly with ribbons
of various colors representing the event (birthdays, Christmas, 4th
of July, Easter, etc.) They seem to still like them; anyway, it keeps me busy
and, mostly, out of trouble. It’s a kick for simple “me”.
I
say, “Thank you! To my progeny for your “patience” and infinite Love for old-Bapa!
Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “Read my books! Please!” Memories!
