Day 95 CJSM

Day 95

Grueling runs up the emergency road and down to

Brandt Road with Becky. Thanks for the support.

Daughters Catherine Elizabeth (Beth) and Rachel Rebecca (Becky) are real beauties in the physical, intelligent rivalling “genius”, respectful, compassionate, loving, honest, independent.

We could not love them more or be more proud of them. They, and their families are: Perfect!

I did anything they might imagine, upheld them, guided them. Un-conditionally loved them. As does their angelic mother, the imitable Lovely Lady Candice Leah! These “saints”, along with our four delightful grandchildren, Z. Tyler, Lauren, Lexi and Anna Marie comprise the totality of precious gems In my “metaphoric” golden crown. You all make my life---Great!

We had the privilege of living on a grand farm of slightly over two hundred acres; we enjoyed a fabulous house, a swimming pool, dogs, cats, horses, sheep, chickens, ducks, and “Tilley” the turkey. We all worked hard and played hard---together. There were never any strangers at our parties which were perpetual; nobody ever visited our abode without feeling “Welcome!”; no one ever left our boundary hungry or thirsty, always satiated with “friendship” feelings.

We drove through a rock bottom creek to enter our property; in heavy rains, the old stream rose to three and, even, four feet, or more. We challenged the flood waters many times, all, without tragedy or significant injury. But, I finally put in an “emergency road” through the woods and over the hill to another road for escape should the impossible ever occur. Thank God! We never had need of that protection. Generally, the angry creek would subside within hours.

That escape route did provide for the completion of a circuit completing a “circle”, of sorts, extending some four miles of trail which the family utilized for walks---Fabulous!

When Rachel took up track in junior high school, she did a lot of running; I joined her on many occasions taking the emergency road to Brant to Maeystown back to our home. Wow! A workout! I often “walked” the circuit; with Becky, we ran the entirety. Yeah! I really could do it.

I entertain “NO” regrets in my time and space---absolutely…none! Amen!

Today, on a “routine” doctor visit, I learned that sometime between 2014 and 2016---Wow! Again! Are you ready for this…the doc announced that I had suffered a “heart attack” Whew!

I did not know that; did not even suspect such. But---reality! It just wasn’t my time; I reckon.

There is some residual damage: three walls within this heart of the seventeen are…Dead!

However, the remaining “good” walls are doing extra-duty to compensate for the vacancy.

So? Such sobering revelation serves to support my “attitude” towards life. No regrets!

Simple-humble I---remain…Honest in a pursuit of Life! Love! Laughter! For a determined conclusion of: Faith! Family! Freedom! Truth is the answer for all, for any Happiness agendas.

God bless you! And, keep you! And, Lord, if it be your Will, lovingly offer some for me, too.

Tomorrow! Another chance! Should I be so blessed. Amen!

Ah! Cookie Jar “Damn the torpedoes! Sweet Memories!
