Day 103
Dad watching
hours of “The Lone Ranger”
“Return
with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear…”
Oh!
Baby! You bet! Every time! My heart still swells with pride at the very
thought!
Words
of equal value rivaling that sentiment also come to mind: Superman! Strange
visitor from another planet who came to earth with powers and abilities far
beyond those of mortal men. Superman! More powerful than a locomotive who can
leap tall buildings in a single bound, bend steel in his bare hands, change the
course of mighty rivers and who, disguised as a mild-mannered reporter for a
great metropolitan newspaper, fights for truth, justice and the American-way!
Ah! As a “kid” I rode every trail with the Masked-man and his faithful Indian
companion, Tonto, and aided “Red-cape” crusader in his never-ending quest for
righteousness. Amen!
And,
here’s a real “shocker” for the reader: I confess to still being that six year
old! Amen!
The Independent-Individual (I –I)---reigns…Supreme!
Gotta love The Lone Ranger and Superman!
Ah! Cookie Jar “I – I” Sweet Memories!
