Day 110
At 18-months,
Becky has fever-related seizures.
Doctor
prescribes phenobarbital, a depressant, to
reduce fever and
keep her calm. Problem:
Phenobarbital
causes Becky to go into hyper-mode!
Yeah!
Baby! We’ve weathered a “few” challenges; such will test your Faith!
One Sunday around the noon hour when Becky was
a year and a half old, she had a severe seizure; I thought she might die! We
got her to the hospital by ambulance and over several days she recovered. Her
pediatrician prescribed phenobarbital which alleviated the issue; finally, some
years later, Becky outgrew the proclivity. Thank God!
At the time of her initial onset, I spent
every minute possible with her and Beth; my family is, and, always has been, my
life. After a week of frantic worry, I realized that I had not touched any
alcoholic beverage. It became a “game” within myself” two weeks, three---44
years! Yea!
Some “good” is present in every
“evil”---search it out…live it! Amen!
The prescribed “cure” miracle drug did not
calm our Miss Rachel; it made her hyper-active!
Well! When did I or mine ever fit the mold? Never!
I say: Alleluia!
They are all “perfect” in my vision; wouldn’t have it any other way!
Amen!
