Day 270
“Cows are out!”
“Why do cows
always look prettier
in someone
else’s pasture?”
Quite
the “cattle-baron”---I reckon…Love cheeseburgers, for sure!
We
amassed a herd of seven critters of the bovine persuasion; had horses and the
rest, too.
A
horse will walk up to a fence with the boards missing; if one board is lying on
the ground, an equine will not step across
it to escape the pasture.
Can’t
say the same for cattle-critter types; they will gather at the perfectly strong,
and in-repair, fence only to begin jostling one another until they finally
succeed in punching a hole through the confinement. Then, they are off on a
tireless jaunt playing hide ’n seek!
Lady
Candice asked, “Why do cows look so contented-peaceful---until…they are your
own?”
Not
that my fences were the very best---barely…just adequate; Well! Most of the time!?
They’d
escape and we would round them up---and, on…and, on! I guess they had “fun”!?
Farm-life
is a 24/7 proposition. I loved it! Quite the “hobby”!
If
one can keep a “good” attitude, then all of life can be delightful! Sure
enough! I try!
Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “Round ’em up! Move ’em
out! Rawhide!” Memories!
