Advice!?
2 things I am
cognizant of every day
and practice
into positive-habit:
1)
Learn
something “new”;
and,
2)
Make
somebody “smile”!
Don’t forget to smile, yourself!
Amen!
Plus:
Day 172
Bapa to the
little girls, “Which hand?”
That
“Santa Claus” theme seems to be quite pervasive in me.
Once
I had a job (Oh! God! Not that) where
I got a nice monthly bonus amounting from a few hundred to a few thousand
dollars (usually in the hundreds, but, I did have my days).
Back
in the day we did not have direct deposit and all such “sophistication”; I got
a paper check and took it to my bank to deposit. The “bonus” money check I got
in cash ($100’s).
When
I got home, I’d roll up several bills in two piles and hide them in my clinched
fists.
I’d
call the little girls, hold out my hands with the money hidden, and say, “Which
hand?”
Beth
and Becky would each choose a hand and get the hidden $100’s; I enjoyed that trick!
When
Z. Tyler and the “new” little girls came along, I persisted in my “Santa Claus”
routine.
It
wasn’t, and, still isn’t, always money; might be candy or ball tickets---or…you-name-it!
Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “Which hand?” Memories!
