Thoughts & Day 156 CJSM

Sacred worship:

In the last pew alone sits a quiet little old lady in silent sacred-prayer

Day 156

Chocolate malt and French fries

When you seclude your family to an 1880’s-type farmstead eleven miles from the civilization of a village, any trip to town becomes an event full of adventure! Life is, indeed, what you make of it! I have actually come to believe this truth (which I’ve always known): Attitude directs!
Lady Candy seemed to always draw the “running” necessities to fetch one thing or another.
Oh! She never complained---about…anything. I sincerely hope I did not take advantage!?
She and her sidekick, Becky, gladly took the truck to run some or another errand into town.
Then, one day, the two rapscallions let it slip: they raided McDonald’s for fries and a malt!
This delicacy sustained them on their way home as they shared the treat.
Hmm! I wonder where Beth was? Probably at the school---or…in the corner of the back seat!

Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “malt & fries” Memories!
