Day 88 CJSM

Day 88

Mom---Sewing matching

Christmas and Easter dresses

Candy-girl! My Candy-girl!

Beauty! Intelligence! Personality! Talent! Compassion! Love! In a word: Perfection!

I often tell the story of my inattention. For twenty years I bragged on Lady Candice Leah for her “saint”-like persona; then, one day-of-enlightenment, reality struck me: She is an “angel”!

Candy sewed the girls matching “holiday” dresses, a new design for each occasion.

This “side”-issue she deftly managed while teaching full time, taking care of two little girls (and, an irreverent little boy), ran an immaculate household, taught Sunday School and managed to work side-by-side with me doing all sorts of chores on the farm. And, Brother! We played, too. Horseback riding, vacations, swimming, day trips---and…constant Event-Adventure Fun!

Lady Candice, the seamstress, made heads turn when the girls arrived at functions decked out in their latest “celebration” hand-made finery. Beautiful, like their mother, they make us proud.

Ah! Cookie Jar “talent-celebration” Sweet Memories!

Amen! Indeed!
