Day 46

Day 46

The little boy peaking around a sign

at the topless beach in the Bahamas

Our girls sent us to the Bahamas for our twenty-fifth wedding anniversary. Fantastic!

We rode the “jitney” (bus) and enjoyed all manner of entertainment and sight seeing.

With myriad highlights to cherish, one incident stands out, in particular.

We had been out and returned to our room before the noon hour; Candy called me to the double glass patio door overlooking the beach. A beauty in a bikini was sun bathing---topless!

Well! Now! I grabbed---uh, er…”got” my trusty SLR camera, slipped on the 300mm telephoto lens and began snapping away, praying I had a fresh roll of 36 exposure film in the box. I did! Photography was a hobby but I never had a “scene” like that presented, before. I really do enjoy the wide open vistas and snapping photos; sometimes, more than others!

This went on for fifteen minutes, or so, when two Bahamian boys about twelve years od showed up. The drama that played out was hilarious. The “gal” knew I was watching.

The boys sauntered toward the sun worshiper in a surreptitious manner like “OH! We’re just two little boys out enjoying the beach for the day” clandestine faux intention. They stopped about twenty feet from the bronze “goddess”, of course, never noticing her lack of attire.

First one would stand with his back to the sun bather while the other one openly ogled her attributes; then, they’d move five feet closer and switch places, taking turns at the “peep” show. Our little Miss (she was anything but---little!) ignored the juveniles as they giggled and got closer. I was all ready to yell at the delinquents if they got in the way of my view. They didn’t.

She finally had enough of the sun, the pesky little boys and the pervert old man on the balcony snapping pictures, so she got up, picked up her lounge chair and “bouncd” on down the beach; I’m not sure, but I think I got some pretty good rear view photos, too.

I thank our girls for the fine trip and our “model” for her part in the festivities.

Good show! Darlin’! I have not one criticism of those ample assets. Didn’t catch her name---but…who cares? I did get some great photos and a most pleasant memory experience. Uh! Huh!

You just need to pay attention; make the most of opportunity. (I learned that in the Bahamas.)

Ah!  Anybody got the sun screen? She needs some!
