tendrils of fog hanging low over a
placid mirrored
lake on the cool of chilling dawn;
Iced lemonade
beverage sipped in dappled maple shade
mid-morn respite
from hefting alfalfa bales to the loft;
High noon sun
sandwich-lunch and cool-aide relaxing
in the cooling
shade of the century-old silver maple tree;
Saddle-up with
the kids mid-afternoon on a trek to the village
General Store for
ice cream treats by the crystal rock-bottom creek;
Purple-evening
quiet enjoying the supper meal with family
around the oval
oak kitchen table Grandfather bequeathed;
Night-time visit
one last check to tuck the horses in with a
“Good night” pat
upon the neck ’til see you on the ’morrow;
Midnight-cool
mist in restful slumber Fantasy-Dreams
of
unicorns,
rainbows and flutter-bys among a perfect space of life.
