Where ’ere might trek I?
Purple-mountain
Rocky high claimed this heart sure
Lovely
Oregon-green Pacific-blue seduced intent pure
Touched
California obelisk giant sentinels born 300 year-date
Traversed ole
101 along picturesque coast across a Golden Gate
Tasted French-accent
of beautiful Victoria, British Columbia-town
Witnessed
emerald San Juan Isles, trekked westward ferry-bound
Photographed
thirty-foot elk antler tower up ole Cody, Wyoming-way
Climbed 60
million year old monoliths Colorado Garden-of-the-gods play
Savored
Caribbean crystal water, strolled sparkle white-sand beach
Within thirty
days set foot on blue-Pacific coast in westward reach
Honkey-tonked
down Nashville-town; rode Ft. Worth rodeo-bull at Billy Bob
Spring break S.
Padre, golf down Mexico-way for fun just to Spanish hob-nob
Travelled five
hundred miles Blue Ridge Parkway to Asheville mansion Vanderbilt
St. Charles, MO
frequented, dared surreptitious peak under Scotsman’s woolen kilt
Dined on Pink
Pig onion stack down hot-Tampa Gulf-direction
Been to Chi-town
Navy Pier, avoided every city insurrection
Trekked northern
route to see the sights on steam-fantasy Am-track
Appreciated
season’s space of spectacle like a wardrobe closet rack
Returned to
ancestral “roots” with a visit to yon “Father-land”
One day,
perhaps, extensive travel though none is present-planned
Stood under the
Arch celebrating 4th fireworks annual display-show
Satisfied with “Simple” adventure-found where ’ere
might I go
Ushered in many
a pastel dawn, coaxed sunrise, high noon sun
Caressed purple
dusk to mid-night mist; one more day be won
Dare, live I,
just south of bright high sun-time come-noon
A bit west, just
under alabaster-shadowed pale full moon
Perpetual
innocent-sweetness loving-time through space awesome residual
Nature: wind,
water, fire, horses; myriad-pleasured “Independent
Individual”
Amen!
