Sunday Serve!
Endeavor I serve
the Deity; He provides perfectly for me
As a child, I
served mass; religion attended me much better
Love! I served family
and friends; they returned the offering
Ten thousand
trees to Nature; she taught reverent appreciation
Contemplated
deep, Mandelbrot; genius determined “fractal geometry”
Learned early-on
a work ethic; adherence has served some quite well
Not proud to
offer smiles 70% of time; should have been a hundred
Remember myriad dumb mistakes; loving friends
forgot them all
Loved children
the best, never faulted them; they loved me, too
Revered my elder
relatives; always they tolerated rascal me
Rascal, rebel,
rogue confessed; never suggested emulation
Passed seminary
entrance test; then met a lovely Protestant-girl
Learned most
life-lessons the hard way; they surely taught me well
Love math, history,
a lexicon of words; can diagram a compound sentence
Only memory of
the past; perhaps, a future come; savor true the Now
If I should
awaken to find it all a dream, Pleasant-ville
be my home
Accused of
desire for Mayberry; too
sophisticated; Green Acres for I
Suit be a dozen
years, not erudite-sophisticated; “Simple-humble”
me
And, you and I
within thee and me; together, awesome sights to see
On the outside looking
in; then, so far “in” I’m “out” but once again
Opinionated on
every issue, held advice; who be I to portray a judge
Love pure-true
the sacred Trinity; Faith! Family!
Freedom! Salvation
Friend mountain,
ocean, prairie plain; eschew faux title or any fancy car
Found life a
garden-spot; sat among color-myriad and fragrance-pleasant
Seven jewels in
me crown; not adorned golden rings or timepiece finery
Hold in mind
image-picture of ye all; brings sunshine smile from the gallery
Touched soft
hand, kissed sweet lips, emotion-found, devotion-bound; and, more
Loved a
universe-full and then some; un-conditional capacity “escapes infinity”
Can’t exodus
surly bonds of earth; free spirit did! Really! This wild-spirit soars!
Loved God with
all my heart and soul and spirit; He eternal forever loved me more!
Bless-ed be
angels, saints, sinners and children-innocent; Please! Lord! Bless-ed be…I!
Amen!
If one day dare
I might a cookie bite
Savor
sugar-taste sweet life-delight!
Amen!
Celebrate!
It’s
Sunday-adventure time!
