Happy Birthday! Darlin’ Becky!
Sunshine
Glisten
By that tender age of eight I had
already innocent discerned
Men don’t cry for comfort they
believe maybe’s been earned
Through these many days in years Love-understanding grew
With all the sweet girls, an Adonis-handsome
son, soon I knew
Raven-haired beauty glowing in
gold sun light, halo bright
Long admired her from afar, a
perfect loving angel sight
Soon gained a cherub blonde
goddess shadow by my side
Bless-ed walking on cloud nine
aglow in pure honored pride
Rachel of Sunnybrook Farm
complimented our fine growing clan
From new-born day to mid-night
moon smiled a lucky, happy man
Who might have dared venture some
wild guess a sacred future brings
Z. Tyler-man, Lauren, Lexi Lu and
Anna Marie: Treasures of a King!
My life for each, eternal love
true, perfect reason to happy exist
If any storms developed, I
pleasured through them as simply mist
Without a few well-designed
clouds, no life-giving raindrops fall
Maybe ’tis true I be a rebel,
rascal, rogue; I daily practice my call
And, loved you all and every
instant of life, relished each nuance offered
Blonde girls on horses in blue
jeans ’cept Sundays found them coiffured
Playing softball! Wow! You all
could hit! Racing steeds in a rock bottom creek
Always funnin’ times; making some
joke; purely simple games like hide ’n seek
Your orange raincoat 1st
day of school left Daddy with a lonesome tear
When you got home we went horse ridin’!
Hooray! We gave a wild cheer!
Always my helpers; little shadow-girls.
I just turned around and you had magic grown
Through sweet time, love’s
awesome space, all perfect angels I have pleasure known
Little boys learn quick that men
don’t cry---not where they might be seen
That’s just “Sunshine Glisten” on
my cheek; happy to have thee upon me lean
Trade me? Change me? Correct?
Admonish? Even ignore? Understand, I see
And, Thee? Not one iota to
improve. Happy! Yes! So long as Thee loves---Me!
Happy
Birthday!
July 9, 2015 Love, Mom & Daddy

“Sunshine”-girl
(a
loving limerick)
Immense
joy in such a tiny package---“Lucky” I, Beth’s clone
Smiling-laughing
“Happy” sunshine ever-delightful shone
Yesterday
I shed a tear---first day of school in her raincoat
Tried
to drown me horseback riding in the creek---I need a boat!
A
sunshine-light to brighten space with a Love!-important
tone
Happy
Birthday! Love, Mom &
Daddy
My darling Rachel “Bobi”-child---
I simply could not have fashioned thee a
better delight than what thou art; I am not nearly so intelligent nor creative-thoughtful
enough to imagine yet another perfect “Love!”. Luckily, you and Caty and all
the rest take after lovely Lady Candice Leah; what an inspiration! How I got
into the act, God only knows; probably to make you all look even better in
comparison. Yeah!
We have Lived! And, Loved! And, Laughed!
And, I am eternally Blessed! Un-deserving, but, fully accepting;
luck-of-the-draw, I suspect. I have been dealt a “Royal Flush!” in hearts.
Amen!
So many wonderful adventures through the
events of our time and space---delightful. You, my dear, brought “Sunshine” to
each and every occasion; absent thee, the fun severely subdued.
Horses, riding, swimming, ball, golf,
the sheep, ducks, chickens, Tilley-the turkey! Wow! And, Brandy-dog and
Stormy-horse. All awesome-wonderful. Taught you to fish and hunt mushrooms and
many other things; and, you taught me of life and love with time and space to
sing. Such talent in these sacred members of our family; one day, I may even
learn to read?
And, Yes! I did actually buy a Prom-dress; too small for bulky me and way too
expensive for a working grunt; but, you donned the garment and made it---Royal!
In beauty-delight! Ahh!
That red Mustang GT convertible was made
to go 140; am I dyslexic or were you clocked by that stupid fat deputy at 104?
You drive like your old man! Girl! Yeah. Rules are made by some fool so I can
break them; but, you seem to have forgotten my
Golden Rule: Never get caught! Oh! Well! It’s only a fine and a sister-lawyer
didn’t hurt. Just so you didn’t get---hurt! Amen!
And, now. I told Nanny when you were
just a wee kid, “Wait until she has children; she’ll blossom, then!” Boy! On
that surmise, I hit a home run. A great mom begot two great moms!
Beautiful Miss Lauren Victoria and our
beauty Anna Marie are pure delight. Lovely darling Alexandria Elizabeth adores
her “surrogate”-mom and handsome Z. Tyler loves you dearly. I won the “lottery”
of life with this Christian family! Thank You! Lord!
So? Onward, girl. You Rock! My perfect
angel child---Lovely Lady Rachel Rebecca!
In
all the world---My treasure-pleasure…Thee!
Happy
Birthday! Bobi!
Love,
Mom
& Daddy
