Day 295
Bapa & Z.
Tyler sharing an orange every
night before bed
when we lived in Oregon
“Little”
things add great delight and interest to life, I reckon that sure enough true.
To
delay the dreaded “bed-time” horror of each night when the “adults” decided the
“kids” needed to be reined-in for the day and incarcerated for the restful
night (I have no earthly idea what
mischief they conjured up that I might have further corrupted my shadow-buddy with; didn’t they think I
needed sleep, too?). Anyway, we managed some creative delays.
One
of our favorite ploys to out-fox the warden
and “screws” at “lights-out” was to suddenly remember, each and every night,
the absolute need for Z. Tyler and Bapa to share an orange.
Sure
enough, a body has to “try” to be healthy!? Hmm!
The
Kill-Joys never caught on!? Yeah!
Right! Sure they did---we just ignored the complaints!
We
plied our “trick” in Oregon and continued the ruse in Tennessee and Illinois. C’est la vie!
Hey!
That boy got Good training!---Well!? One of us thinks so! Hmm! He turned out
just fine.
Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “Eat your fruits and
vegies!” Memories!
