Day 299
Reaban’s
cheeseburgers in the white-sleeve wrappers
Funny
how memory-focus habits seeming
“little” things-of-life in history, I reckon.
I
have a little rubber-dog cherished from infancy; it still squeaks! Wonder where
the floating plastic duck with a bright orange painted beak has waddle off to?
Hmm!
Maybe
I “came-up” at a Good time? Again?
Hmm!? We had very little in the way of material treasures, true enough; but, we
enjoyed family---and, mostly…Love! I
am: non-materialistic!
Even---the
rubber dog (now, some 70-years contorted)…and, my old “Quack-y”-bath pal shadow
a treasure-measure of “value” only in my mind’s-emotional recollection. Still-Worthy!
And,
ole Reaban’s Drive-in? A fast-food hamburger joint with a quick, and, cheap,
hunger pain- satisfier; served my “needs” many a day; seems the kids loved the
treats, as well.
Probably,
the fond memories of paper-sleeve clad mini-burgers relate more to “what” we
did than to the sustenance. But, no matter the connection, I am happy-proud
that they remember.
Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet (25¢ white sleeve burger)
Memories!
