"Love!"-thoughts & Day 240 CJSM-book III

Love!...

Love!---makes the world go ’round…while He keeps us sane!!

So very much “Goodness” in our world:

Soft-eyes to tender gaze upon a sweet face;
Tender-touch to empathize “I love you!”;
Sweet-fragrant swirl imbue my memory;
Honey-kiss delight-of-ecstasy satiate;
Whisper-caress canyon-echo pleasure.

While purpose-practiced all around---
Praise! Honor! Glory! I found…
Salutations myriad Love!-intent bound!
Amen!

So simple-I do humble-search subtle follow-trace
Jesus’-Light inviting glows should I honor His place
In that judgment-instant too late to plead poor case
Only whisper-wind soft-gaze upon a forgiving face
Pray! I ran straight & fair & true this challenge-race
Perish wretched-body save spirit/soul in time & space
Sky-cerulean pure-cloud reflect sacred-filigree white-lace
Eternal cadenced-beating heart sweet memories Love-base

For chances-myriad I have eschewed in vacant-haste
Stained-soul replete “Forgive me!?” Innocent-chaste

Amen!

Consider such:

Live! Love! Laugh! Focus-contemplate!
Vigilant-be! Not one future is ever late!

To a sacred conclusion---To wit…

Faith! Family! Freedom! Might just be all there really---Is!
In one eternal instant the only mercy-blessing will be…His!

Amen!

Day 240

Carl having flowers delivered to school for his Lovely Lady
(& sometimes there was a surprise gift inside)

A hopeless romantic!? You bet! And, I practice---everyday…all the time.
My extreme pleasure is to make someone happy by acknowledging their effort toward  life.
Love makes “giving” a self-serving pleasure; throw in a “surprise”---and…Voila! Perfect!
Candy taught school for some twenty-five years and, then at the local library for another ten; I played at working a J - O – B, too. (Had a “job” one time---didn’t like it!)
On special occasions like her birthday or our wedding anniversary, I sent her flowers at school; often the bouquet held a little “surprise” for her---jewelry or…some other fou-fou-rah!
Somewhere along the line I decided to be the “caring” husband, I began sending the goodies for no reason other than to say “I love you!”
Once in a while, some of her co-workers would make snide comments about my gift-giving offering explanations as to what I had transgressed to reward such hopeful-forgiveness. Okay! So their spouses lacked the emotional veracity to give gifts for special occasions, much less out of the clear-blue. So, I made a joke out of the exercise saying, “She got flowers because we live near a cemetery and every time they bury some dead body, I go by and harvest some of the discarded bouquets---(pause)…sometimes I even get some real nice ones that last a day, or two!”
(Yeah! There are a lot of things to be said about me---one of them is…I have a unique sense-of-humor. Often, just a bit too unique! Is that a synonym for weird?)
My special delight is giving---I call it…“Christian-generosity”. The reward is self-pleasing.
And, the “gift” can be simple: a phone call, a gentle touch, even, a smile! Ain’t Love grand?
Maybe---if we all intend a little “pleasure”…the world might become a better place. I pray!
Amen!

Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “Surprise!” Memories!
