Day 241
Becky with
chicken-pox at 21 years of age---poor kid
I
reckon I have always been in a
“hurry” where the “things”-of-life are concerned.
As
a kid, my friends were mostly at least a few years older than I; we naturally
bonded.
I
have never regretted growing “old”; I anticipated the future while fully
embracing the present. Some things in life there simply is “no” control over;
there---Attitude!...wins the day!
I
suffered seemingly all the usual
childhood diseases---save measles…Junior-year in high school. Maybe little
Rachel Rebecca took my reluctance on that one to heart. She was a Senior at the
university when she contracted the malady; I never suggested they emulate the “old Man”!?
But,
like everything else in this life that came our way, we didn’t whine and
complain, just hitched up our pants and plunged ahead, doing the very best we could muster with a smile.
Absolutely
amazing what a little “humor” salved upon a wound will conclude! Hmm!
Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “Red-rash dilemma” Memories!
