Day 232 CJSM-book

Day 232

”Boop” the little girls on the finger-tip

---a Bapa-trick

All the “little” games; the silliness; that “weird” sense-of-humor; must come with old age!

Well! Truth be told: I always have been a “wit”: half-wit; dim-wit; nit-wit!? Hmm!?

I enjoy the game of life; I choose to be happy; I live: Truth! “Fun”---is…the objective!

If I can spread the “Joy”, so much the better. If I come off “un-sophisticated? Good!

I have never indulged the “things” people claim make them adults: smoking, drinking, drugs, infidelity, jewelry, clothes, cars. I have lived in some mighty fine homes; built them myself.

And, never hesitated to sell them when another “horizon” beckoned. Gypsy-caravan!?

What else I absolutely do is: Refuse to worry or to fear!

Those evil twin stepsisters belong in burning Hell! With their master and his demons! Amen!

So? To “entertain” my little playmates, I make up games and stories. We have played a lot of chess (I did not make up that game) and checkers and “dots” and “x ’n o’s”. I tell stories to the kids about “The best four years of my life---3rd grade.” They laugh and I hope they don’t believe all of the intricacies of my tales. They still are trying their best to teach me to count 1, 7, 4---10!

And to say my a, b, l’s! correctly. Highly intelligent, they each are. Whenever they read a book, I tell them that I read 6 or 7 a day quickly confessing that I don’t actually “read” them---but…I do look at all the pictures. (I just love comic books!) They aspire to be authors, so they take home certificates and awards from the school’s “Young author’s program”! Wow! I tell them to tone down the celebrity, that I, too, “read” a book---once…Well! Okay. Somebody read it to me.

Oh! My! How perfectly-patient these little angels are---to put up with…Me!?

Our latest “little” game is one I did invent: I point my index finger toward them; they reach out with their soft fingertip touching the tip of mine---and, we say…”Boop!”

Oh! Come on! Sophisticated-I “know” how “childish” these antics seem; they are young!?

So? On we go to greet the morning sun on some one or another serendipitous-adventure.

After all, Life is where it finds---you! Or…something like that! You get the idea, I trust.

Another truism: I sure ain’t much---but…I’m all I got!? Reckon that’s so! Hmm!

Careful! Now! That ole Bapa-guy is just chock full of tricks! I reckon!

Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “I’ll ‘boop’ you, too!” Memories!
