Day 189
Laying the flat
rocks around the big tree on
Park Street to
create a raised flower bed
Whatever I “know” in this life, I learned with
“hands-on” experience.
Our first real house, as opposed to the tailer
and the basement apartment, came when we graduated college and got “real” jobs
with a “real” bank mortgage.
416
Park Street in Waterloo was that property. We did some cosmetic “fixing-up” and
bought furniture to fill the rooms. Quaint! I built a patio under an enormous
Lindenwood. utilizing large limestone
flat stones I appropriated from creeks, old foundations and anywhere I might
find one or two. Around the large shade tree I built a rock wall for a round
flower bed. It was my “start”.
We lived there three years and then moved to
our “ten-acre estate” with the awesome view.
Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet :flower bed” Memories!
