Unicorn Rider
I have ridden Arab, Morgan, others, too
Watch me, then you most surely knew
I choose to straddle mythical unicorn wild
Neither faith, not love, nothing in my life mild
That great silver steed with wings can fly
Praise, honor You, my truest glory high
I’ll not look down upon horrid arms that stretch
Like heaven above hell in some lowly artist sketch
Rather, in celestial blessing-grace I’ll cherish
Refuse to join those who reaped eternal perish
Tempt not me lest thee so be tempted
I choose trample evil, none exempted
Righteous wrath His blood-mantle warned
Evil deadly sin on cross He deftly scorned
My cross I’ll carry and if they nail me to it
God be praised with honor, still I’ll do it
Come out Judas, your jingling silver discerned
Betrayal kiss of death goes “holy” unconcerned
No evil worry, fear shall ever burden me
With faith through obfuscated curtain see
To rest long last in His warm loving glow
Upon sin-soul His blessed peace bestow
So, tame wild horse, but not the wind
His warriors to the lost tempest send
For I have sat good fine horses true
Race wild unicorn in heaven’s blue
