Dreamers---&…Do-“ers”
I “dabble” in
the written word occasionally intending “rhyme” in a
purposed-effort
to evoke some pointed-emotion or self-serving theme.
“Dreamers” just might make the world go ’round;
Do-“ers”, being the
reality-pragmatists,
go around the world. Confess I am the vacant former.
It is, indeed,
one thing to spin a “good” story; quite another accomplishment
to actually Live each event as the awesome-adventure
worthy life challenges.
Lovely Miss
Laura personifies the quintessence of the sacred Independent-Individual!
Lovely Lady
Grace (I know quite a few “lovelies”) seemingly liked or appreciated
some of my
“rhyme-time” poetic offerings enough that she shared them with a learned
friend, Miss
Laura, who happened to publish the weekly paper at their church. Turns
out that the
erudite editor found a similarity in my rhyme efforts to a real poet whom she
admired; eventually, Miss Laura published some of my efforts in the Sunday
bulletin. Merci!
Finally, I had
the distinct pleasure of meeting Miss Laura, personally, at a church function.
Already a “fan”, I found myself enamored by her “presence” perfectly packaged
in a
demure
sophisticated pleasant presentation of intellectual, yet, humble, cool class-confidence.
Multi-lingual
Laura is fluent in English, French and, I guess, Mandarin Chinese; I struggle
with English,
fake a few words of French and Spanish, know a couple of German tags, but
can hold my own in any linguistic-conversation embracing some 3-Stooges “Pig Latin”!
Laura read a
poetry selection for the assemblage. No! Not my “poor” rendition, but, rather,
some
syncopated-cadenced deep subject-matter delivered with impeccable taste and
tempo.
I write my
personal “Dreams”; Miss Laura lives the
waiting adventure in reality-space.
Humble “I”
espouse the spirit of the sacred Independent-Individual;
Laura is the “I-I”!
In the vista of
a short period of time through space, Lady Grace announced that our
enviable Lovely
Lady Laura was trekking to China for
a teaching opportunity on a
two-year hiatus.
Wow! With her kind permission, I now salute
her charming resolution.
It seems
lacking, in light of Laura’s daring, to be just an “ordinary” mundane dreamer;
her intrepid
free-spirit soar dulls the “luster” of mythical-pretend childlike make-believe.
I have a young Oregon
friend who traversed the world exploring all seven
Continents by the
tender age of nineteen! How? One step at a time! Easy! Amen!
Yeah! I am but a
lowly humble-“Dreamer”; but, my “heroes” are “Do-ers”! S-A-L-U-T-E!
Abandon any
mundane material “treasures” which hold no truly sacred “measures”.
For I have tasted
sweet the sugar-honey candy-lick of sacred-offered gift life-space.
Dare kiss the
teasing hue of dawn, embrace high noon, rest in the alabaster-pale full moon!
Challenge life!
Dare Dream---Big! Like Miss Laura---just…Do it! Amen!
Mon
Amie!
