Proud!---Oh! So very-proud…of my “poor-boy” southern-heritage!

Those sacred-country-folk so-pure!  True-kind and hungry-lovin’!

Ole Nashville-town born “southern-country” home to the likes-of-me!

Ryman music-hall downtown rockin’ Tennessee-hill guitar life-songs!

Teen-feet a-stirrin’ dusty tendril-corkscrews down yonder country-road!

Glory!-pride! In yon tiny Freedom!-house yonder Tennessee Liberty-way

Learned to drive in farm-fields ramblin’ that faded ole-red pick-up truck!

Honor!-Respect! Un-earned for this Rebel! Rascal! Rapscallion! Rogue!

Found compassion-Love! sacred-history in cherished exemplar-ancestry!

In me limited child-view the whole-wide-world seemed only Black-&-White!

There was sacred-“Good” I mostly-knew! Slight tamed-evil in me-naiveté!

Live! Love! Laugh! My credo-found! Practiced-dutiful from dawn-to-night!

Faith! Family! Freedom! “Sacred”-mantra! Incorporated fine fun-necessity!

Once each-month celebrate that alabaster-pale-full-moon romantic-orb!

Howl-at-moon-bright! I-subtle wild-did in mind-fantasy!---though…Quiet!
