"Grow-up!?"---Me?????...Why!? Really!?

“Fantasy”-Love! Reality!

 

Fond early-memories begin with sacred-Family! Warm-comfort secure

within safe-harbor as any-child should enjoy absent demon-evil strife.

Loving-care! Fine culinary-delights! Immaculate-home! Clean-clothes!

Care! Attention! Discipline! Religious-example! Liberty! & Freedom!

A developed-adoration for “The Good-guys” in white-hats riding noble

silver-horses! The “Good-guys” always---Win!...just as it ought to-be!

Black & white 9”-screen TV watched at the neighbor’s-house; we were

too-poor to enjoy an extravagance like a “modern”-television! Wow!

We had very-little in the way of material-wealth! No!-money! Seems

nobody-else had much in the way of material-goodies or money, either.

That little inconvenience did not deter my post-WWII generation from

living fully and enjoying life with a focused appreciation on Love!

I was “Thankful!” for my myriad-blessings! Ate-well! Lived-fine! Loved!

Got to attend college---even-“Graduated”!...Miracles do-happen! Hmm!?

Took the seminary entrance-exam to study for the holy-priesthood!? Really!

Did-not pursue the religious clergy-life!---met a-girl!...Fell-in-Love! Amen!

Married-an-Angel!---Had Saintly!-children!...Perfect!-grandchildren! Wow!

I had the kind of parents kids pray-for but seldom get and was blessed

with the kind of kids that parents pray-for---mine were saddled with…me!

Sorry! Mom & Dad! Luck-o-the-draw!? I sure-enough reckon-so! Amen!

I seemed to have a need for Trinity! In my life-time and -space! Trios!

“Father! Son! Spirit!” “Live! Love! Laugh!” “Faith! Family! Freedom!”

Sacred-Truth!---too-dumb to-lie…I can hardly remember the-truth! Wow!

Developed a reverence for important-things: Town! Farm! Fox-Lake! Amen!

As my very-limited world slowly-expanded, I found an additional expanse

in my acumen “to-Love!”; seems the Love!-capacity is truly-eternal! Hmm!

Colorado introduced me to the Rocky Mountain-Jubilee! Love! Freedom!

First-visit brought disappointment!---No!...Lone-Ranger! & Tonto! Hmm!

Yeah!---I knew they were only-fiction!...But…Not to me “kid”-fantasy!

Developed a fondness for the noble-beast---Love!-horses!...even, ride…a-bit!

Built some fine-homes w/pools! Farmed! Ranched! Worked! Played!-(harder)!

Loved ole-Colorado!---Then…visited Oregon’s Great-Northwest! OMG!

If God lived on-earth---His-heaven would absolutely be…Sweet-Oregon!

She is lovely as my-Colorado!---only, less-arid…lush with perfect-greenery!

Got to live there for a couple of years!---Delightful!...eternal resort-vacation!

Played in her summer Cascade-Mountain snow! Lived-the-awesome-adventure!

Found Perfect-Love!---enamored with her Pacific-coast!...Home! For me-spirit!

Spent many a happy day on her beaches! Photographing! Enjoying! Loving!

Explored the Northwest into Washington-state and Canada! Better! ’n Better!

My-roots soon called me home to my-beginnings---Tennessee!...”Y’all!”

Back to the misty-hills for this “gypsy”-Rebel! -Rascal! -Rogue! -Rapscallion!

(I told you that I married a “saint”!?)---turns-out…She really is…an-Angel!

Been one-wild-ride!---Still loving-it!...He’ll never “grow-up”! I “hope”-not!
