"Horses" & Christmas!

Man & “Beast!?”---Really?...Hmm!?

A story on social-media tells a tale of a 14-year old stallion
with a penchant for “helping” people with terminal-illnesses.

Seems the equine “good-Samaritan” senses the impending-death
of a person with whom he comes into contact. He is taken to
facilities where patients are on the last days of their lives.

When taken to a hospital, the steed went directly to the room of
a man who was very near death; the horse ignored other patients
who were also terminal, but not as close to death as his choice.

The man did, indeed, die a short time later!?

Supposedly, the equine “doctor” instills in his “patients” a
pleasant-solitude affording them solace in their final moments.

Not bad for a 1200 lb. animal-creature with a brain the size of an
ice-cube. Man’s brain is the size of a grapefruit! Big-difference!

So, how does this “beast” manage to offer Hope to
desperate-patients who are challenged to find any “Hope”?

I contemplated that question for a time---then…”simple”:
The stallion must have a much larger “heart” than man! Wow!

So?---What have you done lately?...Time to “try-harder”? Yeah! Me, too!

Let there be Peace! on earth---and…let it begin with us! Amen!

Sure enough---it’s no wonder…I “love” horses!

And---

Silent Night!
(a Christian challenge)

Christmas-time---a celebration of the gift of the miracle of “Life”.

Flashes of an instant, an episode, an event, an adventure flow through the corridors of the mind; these life experiences, fired in the memory through the senses, evoke myriad images stored in the lexicon of each individual, waiting for review to stir the emotion to passion for want of more. “Déjà vu”…the memories come flooding back, welcomed, nourished and cherished. Those eons of instances blended into years which become the emotional sum total of life.
Like: Silent Night! Believers all know the Christmas song; better yet, each has lived the ambiance of the reality of the touching lyrics and the embracing melody. It is there in memories, entrenched in experiences, nuanced within the psyche, brought visual by the senses. Some are exceedingly blessed to be in tune with such emotions, seemingly…always. Everyone is fortunate enough to capture the pleasure, on occasion. But, at Christmas! Memories live!
Hear, then listen to the absorbing silence, see black velvet in its infinity spectacularly pierced with the blue-white diamonds bejeweling Jesus’ crown, taste solitude in the communion of the Trinity, smell freshness in the warmth of hot baked bread, touch love in a tender caress. With a single-minded purpose, choose, decide to savor this particular instant, enjoy the moment, grasp the episode and squeeze it for all it is worth, dare live the adventure which is the very gift of life.
That ultimate present is God’s miracle bestowed, life is. One moment, then another; life!
And, like God-given talents, it is not to be hoarded, nor feared, nor worried, nor saved…life is expressly to be lived freely, to the fullest, without bounds, to be experienced, to be challenged.
Recurring themes from our dear Lord’s words are: “Fear not!” and “Follow Me!” Professed Christian theology founded on these beliefs support two admonitions oft quoted by the erudite elitists in a vacant effort to establish mediocrity: “You can’t do that!” and “That’ll never work!”
These empty words are too quickly offered, mostly, without request, and, also, many times spoken, even by believers, when anyone dares accept the challenge. Risk, it seems, is akin to evil and, therefore, to be avoided lest one rascal, rebel, rogue upset the proverbial “apple cart” of the cherished status quo. Yet, to simply greet the new-day dawn portends possible controversy. Such skeptical doubter lectures are very excellent reasons, indeed, to challenge the experience of life.
Go now! To that secret place within and withdraw that certain desire forever harbored; dust it off, shine it clean and dare nurture it in revealing light. Finally, take it for a spin. Enjoy! Laugh!
And, if you have no “do” list, nothing too new to try, no sense to stimulate? Well! Then! Obviously, thee has done it all! Feel proud to answer honestly: There is nothing for me to do!
But, if you desire to live, to challenge life by risking the unknown, and, isn’t every “future” obfuscated behind the veil of the ’morrow-code? Go for it knowing God’s blessed authority gives permission to just: do it! “Fear not!” “Trust Me!”
Our Christian prayer for thee this Christmas season is simple: Peace within! Silent Night!
Grant to thyself a time to hear, see, smell, taste and touch that essence which is life.
Dare experience a personal “Silent Night!” And, do it sooner, not later, again. “Right now” is all there is. Amen!
Silent Night! Holy Night!

Merry Christmas!

And---

Idyllic Vision

Embrace idyllic vision ancient desert town there yonder
Innocent revered by humble man with creature-wonder

Love true sacred miracle gift of new-life baby born of holy Mother
Sent His Savior-Son to redress yon heaven for every sister-brother

Peer ye down upon sweet face lying in a manger of soft hay
Vacant celebrity fanfare to celebrate humble sacred holy day

Two millennia eons plus have come and seen and gone
Each single year His faithful pray a reverent “Silent Night!”-song

Clarion angel trumpeted to lowly shepherds as their vigil keep
“Noel! Noel!” Soft on still night in reverenced peaceful deep

Came they in bowed allegiance eager to humble honor, holy adore
“The King is come upon the earth” as foretold in campfire ancient lore

Heavenly hosts eternal sweet-voice sing proud angelic choir
Seraphim and Cherubim celestially syncopate a hallowed lyre

While there in simple Bethlehem in a modest, rustic, wooden stable
Comes a consecrated spark to conflagrate a saintly Communion table

Long time since, servant Moses received His holy Commandments ten
First three, Love God; seven more, Love man; lest suffer stained-soul sin

Now, born the Child to become a man takes only holy breath
Conquered evil and the world and even vacant, lonesome death

What sacred several holy words might one condense of His pure Love?
Honor Faith! Love Family! Cherish Freedom! Bestowed treasures from above

Pray! In thy tender heart lives Christ’s Love, an everlasting glow
From that font allow to all ye meet holy water abundantly to flow

Choose thee, now, one easy simple imperative decision
Love Father, Son and Holy Ghost; live His “Idyllic Vision”

Faith! Family! Freedom! Might just be all there really is…
In one eternal instant, the only mercy judgment will be---His!
Amen!

Merry Christmas!
And---

Christmas Blessed!

Dark night dawn blazed light of day
Newborn babe rough manger lay

Virgin-Mother adore our King
Celestial choir, angelic sing

Miracle to this world wonder
Jesus birth in shelter yonder

God’s true love millennium
Praise and honor, glorify Him

Mist transcend sweet morning dew
Escort sky cerulean blue

Blanket beauty snow soft white
Pure, perfect time eternal sight

All that’s good, God’s grace bestow
Gifts, mankind, help spiritually grow

Celebrate life, Father, Son and Spirit
Sweet earth beckon, listen, hear it

Invite holy Christ-child, royal guest
Each cherished life, He Christmas Blessed!
Amen!

Merry Christmas!
