Happy Birthday! Rachel Rebecca!
(July 9, 2017)
Gung-Ho! G. I. Mom!
(a loving
limerick)
The worker-“beast” puts them to shame---Girl! You go!
A country-girl
works city-folks into the ground…they know
A Mom-friend
with that just right touch to show she loving-cares
Angel beauty,
charm, intelligence adores the equine “boys” and mares
Miss McKenzie
got it right and true: “hot” G. I. Mom!---Whoa!
So very proud of
you, dear Girl!
Love---forever
& always…Mom & Dad
Becky-girl
arrived with an announced---Explosion! (Boooom!)
As I recall, she
seemed a tiny bit late from the expected date;
Ole-Dad can
“fix” anything and that day he surely did;
Our first new
home had its fireplace completed, to celebrate;
Nanny took a
seat as Bapa safely stored a
grocery-bag chock-
full of
contraband fireworks under her chair (the packaging
clearly states: Adult supervision required!). He never
obeys!
I set off a few
“minor” delights---Yahoo! Great fun,
but then…
resultant of
some “fluke” (or, is that “flake!?”)…the entire bag
miraculously
caught fire igniting the explosive contents in a
single-mass
conflagration---under Candy’s chair! Wow!!!
She couldn’t
escape with that huge belly in the way! Oops!
Rachel Rebecca
our “firecracker” was born a few hours later!
Bravo! Old man. Good show! (actually---all around!)
Thank you!
To this day---I
swear…It was an Accident! Hmm!?
Uh! Er! That
is---the fireworks display…not the
baby!
(You can always count on “me”!) Thank you! Again!
Seven “perfect”
blessings I could never have imagined;
Seven
“treasure-measures” I adore and fully enjoy! Amen!
(I wouldn’t have
missed one instant of it for all the world!)
I love you:
Candy, Beth, Becky, Z. Tyler, Lauren, Lexi, Anna!
Happy Birthday!
Lady Rachel!
Plus:
Day 206
Mom’s long dark
hair and her dark blue bandana
on work days.
That bandana always meant “Business”!
Yeah!
Baby! That Nanny is a worker! When
things get tough, Nanny gets busy!
A friend once asked me what Candy was like. I
replied: Perfect! Class! Beauty! Intelligence!
I told him that she keeps an “immaculate”
house; if I leave a half-eaten sandwich lying on the counter, she’ll clean it
up; can’t stand a “mess” of any kind.
Hmm! Where’s that leave me!?
When the “real” cleaning day came (every day was some cleaning day) Lady
Candy donned her blue bandana as she trussed up her long auburn locks, a
harbinger of “Look out world!”
Beth managed to co-opt the “job” of mowing the
yard; she perched herself in a tiny bikini on the riding mower and set off to
“deepen her tan”---uh, er, I mean…to manicure the emerald yard.
Becky worked with Nanny getting the house
cleaned and weeding the garden and such.
In the end, we all enjoyed the long, hot, lazy
afternoons in the pool. Work begets pleasure!
One might
get differing versions of this tale, depending on who spins the “fabric”! Hmm!
Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “dreaded-blue bandana”
Memories!
