Day 219
Sweet sun-tea
I
tend to run in phases; depending on what I like at any given time---I “indulge”!
We built a house on a 214-acre farm; I put a
42 foot long by 8 foot wide balcony on it overlooking the pool. We had two 8
foot benches built in utilized for sun-worship and as seats for parties. Always
make use of what is at hand---Good advice!...I reckon.
I
seem to indulge that axiom, too. Goes along with: Waste not! Want not!
So? The deck and the sun-bathing benches
offered much more than a nice venue to sit and watch the pool parties; it was
an ideal place to make our favored “sun-tea”. And, that we did!
Many times I filled the ole gallon tea jug
with cold well water and suspended 3 or 4 tea bags in the liquid, then set the
container on the deck for several hours letting Mother Nature’s sun work its
magic. Just seems to bring out the best of the tea when “brewed” in this
fashion.
A guy can learn a lot from Mother if he just listens and pays
attention while keeping his “knowledgeable” mouth shut. Umm! Umm! Good!
Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “Sun-tea” Memories!
