Happy Birthday!

 

Happy Birthday! “Young” man!

(January 2, 2016 “69”!---WOW!)

 

It’s been quite a few, now! Nearly seven decades! Wow!

At twelve, I thought thirty to be old. Now, I humble bow.

 

Quite a “run”, it seems; funny, I remember only “Good”

No laments for faux excuses: could or should or would

 

Highlights? All of it! For sure! Let’s do it---Again!

Never missed a beat! Now, there would be the sin

 

What? Prey tell! Be any of thou accomplishments? Today?

If thee dare look close, myriad “virtues” I confess-say:

 

A “Golden” crown-of-Love! Invisible to all but---I

Seven precious jewels to sparkle-shine in every eye

 

Simply, humble-I not only love each true, but be “in love”, too

For each approaches “Angelic” applauded by all they ever knew

 

And, Simple I? Lucky! I guess. What marks my trace-identity?

 

Longevity? Perhaps? Maybe? Only a happenstance without design

Love of Mother Nature? Guilty! Transgression a-purpose refined

Tested true all faux “rules” with fun-intent abandonment-assigned

 

A litany of “so-called” sins? Again---Perhaps? To wit:

 

Irreverence toward the self-declared faux celebrity-elite

Reverence for Truth! Justice! And, The American-way!

Life! Adventure savored to satiate the soul-spirit free

Love! Eternal without bounds overflowing emotion-pure

Humor! To “see” an awesome fun-reality of humble space

Faith! Practiced always in thought, word and every deed

Family! Those seven precious jewels adorn me golden crown

Freedom! “C & C”! Ten Commandments! & U.S. Constitution!

 

To plant more trees to tally plus ten thousand done

To horses ride and pet with love in nature-so-grand

Another day! Christmas! A year! Birthdays! Time!

Creative-imagination to scribe one more emotion-thought

 

Space in which to dare lick the sugar-honey sweet of Life!

 

Intent to fulfill that sacred purpose for Life---Love!

 

For: What we can do is Good to one another

The very best bestowed is Love! to each other

 

Live! Love! Laugh! Focus contemplate!

Vigilant be! Not one future be ever late!

 

Faith! Family! Freedom! Might just be all there really---Is!

In one eternal instant the only mercy-blessing will be…His!
