Begin Mother's Day celebration

Erudite Library “Hotties”!

I find comfort any cool day among the library “Hot!”-gals
Beats a bar stool wasting time with loser card-playing pals

Captain Britta-”Glitta” runs a tight ship dancing her part
Sailing shark-treacherous waters she follows a library chart

Sailor-ette Miss Annette takes on projects quite myriad
Can’t seem to say “No!” securing an end with a period

Bar-codes anything that moves is our Miss Anna-“stasia”
Coasts sand-bars along ole banks of Ethan’s River Kaskaskia

Pert little Miss Linda proud vegan-veggie aficionado-gourmet
Want to know exactly what she thinks? Listen close to her ‘say’

Alluring Miss Pamela flashes that coquettish bright smile
Even guys who can’t read hang at her desk for some while

Lovely Lady Candice Leah forever there with a grand plan
That guy perpetually shows up; thinks he’s her “Candy”-man

Miss Angela hums through her day displaying plenty of zest
Among this elite team of “Hotties” she surfboards the crest

Really? Sweet Miss Gail! “I love you!” Her Friday-afternoon scream
I won her heart with green “Shamrock-shakes” cool-laced ice-cream

Sweet beauty Miss Rachel off to adventure-in-college this fall
“Bon chance!” “Au revoir!” Mon Amie! Our echoing love-call

On any ole day it’s refuge-sought as I’m library-bound
’Tis “Picture”-books I seek; not a “comic” around found

These erudite “Hotties” populate the town information repository
Might take proper pity on this vagrant haunting a book depository

It’s obviously transgressed! And, freely confessed: I suffer great need
Please! Lovely Lady-“Hotties”! Can somebody just “Teach me to read!”?

And, a very Happy Mother’s Day! “Hot”-Gals!
Love, Carl (I can’t count too good, neither! Help!)
