He knew.
Widow-Holcomb voiced issues and complaints
varied, a litany.

gathered, on occasion, to faux-“complain”!
Serendipity!
A
“winning” smile belied the old man’s
hidden spirit sad-depression.
Diligent! Each day he
quiet takes his sentinel-post in Faith-expression.
News
travels fast among any group; he
gained a worthy-reputation.
Simply,
he said “Truth” in reply to queries and
ailments. Inspiration!
Polite! The old- Philosopher patient-listened to Bored! Lonely! Afraid!
So-sad! Yet True! He shed a forlorn-tear. Then, smiled---and…Prayed!
When
he clear-tone spoke “Truth”, two
gathered; several; then many-more.
He
talked of “Love” and living-“Truth”. Praise! Honor! Glory! God-adore!
His
words fell soft! Like a Whisper-wind satiated in Holy Spirit “Peace”!
Slowly,
they came to see Love & Peace within themselves holy-increase.
He
spoke of Mother Nature miracles in all her Awesome-wonder Would!
Told
magic Fantasy-tales of Rainbows! Butterflies! & Unicorns!
Could!
Spun
yarns of Good-deeds and Worthy Value-Virtue goals they Should!
Smiled
away their demons with hint-of-dawn “Appreciation”-design
Called
rising-sun to golden-shine a promised-day adventure-assign
Offered
respite from labor mid-morn in silver-filigree shade-resign
“I
live just yonder south of comfort-warm high-noon sun-assign.”
Waning
afternoon a sweet ice-cream treat to toils-Cool
just-fine
Violet-pale
to purple shadow-dark ushering delight-dinner line
And,
night-sight---respite-trace…Fantasy-escape
in cosmos-align
Astride
Magic-unicorn adventure Time-through-Space to-incline
“I
live a bit-west of yon alabaster-pale full moon.” Blood-red wine
When
all is gone---thee like me…conclusion-choices remain-mine
Live! Love!
Laugh!
& Focus-celebrate!
Vigilant-be!
No-one’s future is ever late!
Faith! Family!
Freedom!
Might just be all there really---Is!
In
one eternal-instant the only mercy-blessing will be…His!
