Lake Storm
Relaxing on yon
clubhouse-porch in respite
Any
imagined-problem, decide I: Just forget it
Solitude under
shading-comfort of old huge red-oak
Subtle-wind
change have my sharpened senses woke
Thunderheads
tower-tall on far-horizon yonder
Lightning-shards
portend fear awesome-wonder
Rolling rumbles
rattling roughly on a trained-ear
Still, too many
myriad miles away to clearly hear
Acute aware now
of impending stealthily evil-danger
Clandestine-tempest
in disguise, obfuscated-stranger
Sweet smell of
freshness harbored on tossed-air
Purple-green
robe does front-approaching wear
A cooling-breeze
precedes the torrent-threatened
White flashes
streak as echoing-crashes deafened
Upon the quaking
black-chop surface of the lake
Wind-swept
crests of wild white-caps dance wake
In safe-harbor
on headland beyond violent-fray
Appreciate show
of fearsome powerful-display
Tranquil-times
return when turbulence has passed
Such slight
disruption of good-day simply can’t last
Good-versus-evil
battles in lifetime are daily-fought
Victory-proclaimed!
The altercation fleeting-thought
Value refuge in
pure-light of saintly virtue glow
Saved-soul in
Father, Son and Holy Spirit flow
