Thoreau and Emerson

Perspective?!

Henry David Thoreau and Ralph Waldo Emerson

Emerson went to-jail to-visit his friend Thoreau who had-been

incarcerated by the-authorities for his-refusal to-pay a-tax which

Henry David thought to-be unjust as it supported a-war.

Ralph Waldo came to the-cell to peer at-Thoreau.

“What are you doing in-there?” he-queried, chagrined.

Thoreau asked Emerson to-justify the-war; when the-latter

 could-not do-so, the former turned the original-query on-Emerson.

“The-question is, Waldo, what are you doing out-there?”

War is a poor-excuse for a damnable evil-ego gone berserk!

What-war was it that Thoreau- protested? Does it matter?!

War is-Hell! Choreographed by demonic-insanity! Amen!

Which-war? - - - Really?!...Who in-hell cares?! They are all-evil!

Ego maniacs run-amuck! Demented-crazy!

Lock the-idiots - - -away…eternal!

Amen!

P.S.-F.Y.I.: the evil-war was the Mexican American War
