Day 132
Dad loves
reading Louis L’Amour books
Westerns! To be precise.
“Saddle up! Boys! I’ll show you how to experience---Adventure!
That
consideration pretty much exemplifies my life’s ambition: Fun! “Hedonism!” Lives!
“Dreamers”
exist in reality but, we live in an exciting “parallel” universe.
“I love it!”
Once,
I was a voracious reader; I still indulge the escape, but, somewhat now
subdued. Seems I tend to write more and read a bit less. Ha!? Hmm? I wonder
which society prefers least?
Mr.
L’Amour set some adventure stages for a “child’s” imagination; coupled with my
penchant for “Hero-worship” born of an immature child-mine, worshiping the one
Ranger and Superman, doing “Good”, settling contentious accounts with
“bullies”---Ah!...Perfection!
We
have amassed a personal library containing over 3,000 books on every subject
imaginable; somebody once queried me with “Have you read all of those books?”. Smiling, I replied that I had read a
few and Lady Candice Leah had read all of the others! (Really! Someday soon I
fully intend to learn my “a, b, l’s”,
then read and write; I am working on counting to 10.)
That
confession (tongue-in-cheek) speaks to my “humble”-spirit and “simple”-personna
as I continue to hone any skills I might “dream” and strive to “edge” some
talent---I…humbly Pray!
Ah!
The sweet smell of leather; I see you all a little later; my horse is waiting
for---Adventure!
“Gitty-up! Ole
boy! Hi! Ho! Silver! Away!”
Amen!
Ah! Cookie
Jar Sweet “Ride-’em-cowboy!” Memories!
