In closing---a brand new…beginning…
So? Y’all think
the last fifty ride was a nifty treat?
Beginning now,
I’ll be all-wild! Hold on to your seat
“Welcome aboard!”
Don’t miss it standing on the platform-stay
Join my fun
journey? Great! Just do not stand on the track-way
I sense the
energy! Smell wild adventure! Taste love-life delight!
“He’s crazy! You
know? He’ll dare-try anything that he just might”
That
Rapscallion! Rebel! Rascal! Rogue! Debonair! Cavalier!
Courageous!
Daring! Calls out evil twin sisters: Worry and Fear
“What” he simply
can’t do? Such denial, he simply never knew
A kid of
imagination-universal. Was it the baseball he threw?
Riding the range
with a masked-Ranger and Tonto-intrepid
Soaring with
Superman incarcerating evil criminals-imputed
Cool! In Levis,
cowboy boots, western-style shirt, mirrored aviator glasses
Respectful and
kind, even considerate; “That guy” takes no bully-bad sasses
And, so what of
me, now? Just the very same as “then”. Me thinks
Nitroglycerin
wild-unpredictable resulting explosive-Boom!-Hijinks
To a true-simple
future (not once ever late):
On the
’morrow-dawn sensing I do arise “Good morning! World!”
A Rocky Mountain
summit calls, or Ozarks, maybe Oregon-swirls
A dare-chance on
a whim, golden aspen leaves corkscrew-down twirl
If the entire
tribe will trek, I’m all-in, holding hands with my best girl
But, yonder, I
spy a hill to climb; what adventure awaits on the other side?
Yellow warm sun
devours a cold morning fog caressing an Oregon blue tide
A rhythmic white
foam surf embraces soft beach-sand poetic, my spirit abides
Beyond a far
blue horizon what wonder might find across white caps I slide?
Pray! Oh! Lord!
This gypsy-man! Why would any sane entity ever follow?
He brought me
here, willingly caught, to heaven, from a Maeystown hollow
And---That
pretty much concisely says it all, My Love!
Beauty Candy-Lady!
Just one more
day after the last, let the good times roll…Yeah! Baby!
Amen!
Happy 50th Anniversary! Love, Just
“Simple-me”
November 25,
2016---Carl
