Sanctuary!
Mostly peaceful
in me quiet time of humble space
Me “castle”
perfect-encased sun and alabaster lace
Even, once ago,
in me heyday-events through life
Not much askew
or scary terrible threatening strife
“Mundane!”
Ye
may errant conclude a lamented confession
“Don’t judge a
book by its cover” Admonishment concession
A hundred miles
oft myriad-treks across blue-time ten plus three-score
Wondrous sights,
touched heaven yonder, dared call upon any ole door
Whisper-tender
caress-soft, taste passion-Love sweetness
emotion
Memory-harvest
all beauty-pure secured in promise-bond devotion
Embraced
summer-awesome thunderstorm hot-white jagged etch
Elk herd at tree
line dusk mountain-lake captured in pencil-sketch
Lived yonder-blue
just south below bright high sun noon
Some shadow-west beyond alabaster pale-orb full moon
Appreciated
Rocky Mountain summit peak white-snow draped
Camped
cascade-crystal stream in valley-low midnight escaped
In me time and
sacred space reciprocated Mother Nature’s
Love!
Tender-planted
ten thousand-plus trees for home to mourning dove
North wind
cold-howled chill against the fireplace banked flame
Spun wild yarns
adventure-filled of horses full-moon ride game
Walked on
yonder-land across the east wide pond continent
Viewed
desert-sandscape wind-sculpted painted monument
And, Touched
God’s heaven through soft eyes caressed Pacific-blue
Love! Stole me heart
golden sunset coast-Oregon escarpment knew
No measured
distance-space to Sanctuary!-bliss
need me physical go travel
So many traces,
paths and by-ways interwoven never to a-purpose unravel
For I have come
and been and some instant gone on to a challenge ’morrow
Me secret along
treasure-memories of pleasure-life absent lamented sorrow
Amen!
