Alabaster-pale full-moon light silhouettes night branches.

Halloween! Ghosts! & Goblins! Rampaging entrances!

 

Nanny and Bapa came to take Gabriella to “Trick or Treat!”

“I sure Love my ‘Candy’!” Teased Miss Gabby’s-“Greet”!

 

“Boo!”  Yelled Gabriella Leigh raising her arms.

Magic-unicorn feigned “Fear” facing no real-harm.

 

Winged-friend heard laughing under her Ghost white-sheet.

“Oh! My Magic! You’re not really afraid! Just so-sweet!”

 

But---ole-Bapa cringed...as he slipped under the bed to hide.

“Come-out!” They called. “No! It’s scary-Evil!” He replied.

 

“It’ll be okay, Bapa! I’ll get my candy-bag and we’ll be off!”

The trio pulled him from his hiding-place; still, he held a scoff.

 

“Stop shaking!” Magic implored. “We’ll get you a costume!”

“Oh! I’m way too-old; need to stay home---Safe!...I assume!”

 

Nanny cut two eye-holes in a sheet and pulled it over his head.

The Ghost “quivered and shivered” trying to get under the bed.

 

“Bapa! Really!” Gabriella’s temper flared as the little-girl reprimanded.

“This is just silly!---We are going!...And, you are, too.” She commanded.

 

“Well! I’m glad somebody finally took charge!” Magic concluded.

“Trick or Treat!”---Candy-in-the-bag!...Bapa’s fear was soon diluted.

 

“Gee! Everybody. This sure-enough is old-Halloween lots-of-good fun!”

The three shook their heads at Bapa. Nanny said, “You really are! Hon!”

 

Bapa quick-beat all the Ghosts and Goblins to each porch-lit house!

“Aey! Yikes!” Nanny squealed at the sight of an urchin costumed-mouse.

 

Bapa laughed aloud, pointing. “Ha! Nanny! Really? Scared-to-death!”

A shocked-trio rolled their eyes holding their tongues and their breath.

 

Safely back home the “Gang” agreed to divide their horde of tasty-loot.

When brave ole-Bapa grabbed the best pieces, Nanny gave him the-boot!

 

“I think we should have left Bapa under the bed.” Nanny said, mean.

“Aw! It’s okay!” Gabby soothed. “Take some of mine! Happy Halloween!
