Steel-blades clatter on frozen-pond beside bonfire! Yet!

Bright color coats, warm hats and scarfs protect! You bet!

 

Smell Mom’s turkey-ham Christmas-dinner feast calling

Gourmet-chef talent displayed on table festive halling

Time has come! For ole Santa Claus!  No more stalling

 

Dark-emerald evergreens in splendid white-snow decorated

Chrystal-air quite frigid-crisp nose tingle-delight exacerbated

Reason Innocent-Babe manger-scene holy-sacred relegated

 

Horse-drawn sleigh rides o’re hill-‘n-dale blanket comfort-warm

“Jingle-bells! Jingle-bells!” Joyous “Child”-song chorus-charm

Domestic-critters and Nature-neighbors listen absent fear-alarm

 

Icy-sparkle frozen-waves north-wind sculpted sight

Shadow black-white daguerreotype full-moon bright

Snowflakes flurry-dance alabaster-pale celestial light

 

To yonder far-end of ice slick pond young lovers scurry

Soft held maiden-hand to steal warm-kiss in passion- hurry

Blizzard-swirl obscures intent making emotional-scene blurry

 

Mountain-high! Scads of discarded colored-paper treasures

Bright-eyes! & Smiles! Hugs and Kisses! Thankful measures

Ole tender-hearted Santa Claus garners Christmas pleasures

 

Kids! At Christmas! One & all! Ole Santa’s fine design

Love! Joy! & Peace! To each God’s sacred-gift assign

Another-chance! To Right affronts!? Any Evil-resign

 

Live! Love! Laugh! Prescription to cure any obfuscated heart

Good! Better! & Best! Blessed-attempt “hug/kiss” good start

Christmas! Love! Joy! Peace! Faith! Family! Freedom! part

 

When icy north midnight winds howl in loving house eaves

I blanket-hunker warm admit that I, for one, always believe

Praise! Honor! Glory! God! Live Truth! Refuse any deceive
