Some “evil” roared a visit on yonder eerie midnight dark

Dawn witnessed annihilation/destruction illuminated stark

Bluegrass Hope! Intrepid-born upon an angel herald-Hark!

 

Awesome-wind! Deluge-rain! Lightning! Cacophonous-thunder!

Stole-trees! Collapsed-buildings! Tore a blessed history asunder!

 

Bleak-devastation broke our collective lamented-heart

Whisper a prayer! Shed a tear! Begin clean-up, our part

 

Overwhelming-misery! Shock! Disbelief! “Dear God!” I pray!

We’ll be okay in Spirit-Faith! Will take many a Healing-day

 

A single life lost---too many, sad…but, hundreds in an eye-blink?

Before some holy Resurrection just how far must a body sink?

 

Nature has reclaimed her domain in a devastating sorry-fashion

Man’s long planning order ignored in one instant fury-passion

And---in Christian-generosity!.. ”Good”-people defeat the wrath

Sister/Brother! Across the land prayerful march a righteous-path

 

Together-strong! Resilient! Courage! Love!  All gathered in spirit as one

Day quick brought golden-comfort to triumph-despair with warming-sun

 

Picking up the pieces---Memories!...strength in unity! Hope!-inspired!

Love! Fellow-citizen-support poured in absent any vacant plea required

“God be with thee! God bless!” Heartfelt sacred prayer holy-inquired

 

In awful agony---Miracles!...Granny saved her babies with a bible in a bathtub! Good!

Next day trio found safe underneath the overturned cleansing-vessel, they would

“Send Me the children!” Jesus loves them and asked that this, Faithful should

Faith! Family! Freedom! American-Christian-Proud! Victory! We could!

 

Plant trees! Sow seeds! Renew Kentucky bluegrass-beauty

Together we the people stand Proud! in Christian-Love duty
