The Flag!!!

 

Red! White! & Blue! –unfurled!

Old-Glory! waves-Proud! Sings my-heart! Tears my-eyes! Amen!

 

I wrote a note to a-friend, addressed the-envelope, stamped-it!

 

Oh! I-am fully-aware that “modern”-man no-longer

indulges “snail-mail”; they all-text -  - - and … such. Hmm!

 

Well! I don’t have a new-fangled fancy-phone,

probably too “dumb” (or - - - too …smart) to employ its use.

 

Anyway, I-know a few words and - - -  can-write … a-little

 

And, reality - - - “they” have no-time … All I have is- “time”!

 

The-stamp for my-letter depicts our Glorious-flag

 

Such sight stirs the-heart! the-soul! And, the-Spirit!
