Santa
Claus and Frosty
In a little country village setting, some decades
now past
A boy enjoyed life’s production and so loved the
special cast
Prayed he such a splendid fantasy would longer than
forever last
Christmas Magic in the air when each year is nearly
done
With school and church and family, his days were
surely fun
Life for the pure joy of living and his time had
only just begun
Money might be scarce, no one would ever mention
Love provided all the little children’s required
attention
Lessons taught and virtue learned begot generous
ascension
By age of twenty it was Santa Claus he wished to be
Pushed life flat out, head first, foot loose and
spirit fancy free
Tried he to emulate that perennial jolly snowman
aptly titled “Frosty!”
Found truth in “Better to give than to receive”
Whatever they may desire or need, he would conceive
The world to each, satiate spiritual needs, which he
did perceive
A single orange, his father’s Christmas, one bleak
year
Thankful and overjoyed, but the telling brought his
grandma’s tear
From those saints before, now gone, he learned to
Santa Claus and Frosty hear
Praise God in Faith! As His Word so sacred say
Honor Family! Through Love in Santa’s one horse
sleigh
Glory to Freedom! Believe Frosty will reappear one
fine day
Should, dare I, make the world a better plan
Just love God and extend to lowly man a helping hand
A holy challenge to live like Santa and that Frosty
snowman
This United States---Love it or leave it
This precious Life---Live fully and do not deceive
it
This sacred challenge---Like Santa and Frosty…venture
to believe it
Amen!
