Merry Christmas!

Idyllic Vision

Embrace idyllic vision ancient desert town there yonder

Innocent revered by humble man, domestic creature wonder

Love true sacred miracle-gift of new-life baby born of holy Mother

Sent His Savior Son to redress yon heaven for every sister-brother

Peer ye down upon sweet face lying in manger’s soft hay

Vacant celebrity fanfare to celebrate humble sacred birthday

Two worshipful millennia eons plus have come and been and gone

Each single year His faithful pray a comfort “Silent Night!”-song

Clarion angel trumpeted to lowly shepherds as their vigil keep

“Noel! Noel!” Soft on still night in respected peaceful deep

Came they in bowed allegiance eager to humbly honor, holy adore

“The King is come upon the earth” as foretold in campfire ancient lore

Heaven hosts sing eternal sweet-voiced proud angelic choir

Seraphim and Cherubim celestially syncopate a hallowed lyre

While there in simple Bethlehem in a modest, rustic, wooden stable

Comes a consecrated spark to conflagrate a saintly Communion table

Long time since, servant Moses received His holy Commandments ten

First three, Love God; seven more, Love man; lest suffer soul-stained sin

Now, born the Child to become a man takes only holy breath

Conquered evil and the world and surely vacant, lonesome death

What sacred several holy words might one condense of His pure Love?

Honor Faith! Love Family! Cherish Freedom! Bestowed treasures from above

Pray! In thy tender heart lives Christ’s Love in everlasting glow

From that font allow to all ye meet holy water abundantly to flow

Give voice to celebrated prayer with “Thy” will be done

Abandon vacant “my” as humbly honor His perfect Son

Choose thee, now, one easy simple imperative decision

Love Father, Son and Holy Ghost; live His “Idyllic Vision”

Faith! Family! Freedom! Might just be all there really is…

In one eternal instant, the only mercy judgment will be---His!

Amen!

Merry Christmas!
