Carlos! & Candico! (a love-song)

Carlos & Candico! (a Love!-song)

Bandito Pistola-Carlos hailed from yonder-way down in ole-Mexico
String-strummed soft-serenaded a beautiful Indian-maiden Candico

Along the lapping river-edge an alabaster-pale full-moon rise
Highlighted dark tendril-wisps a desert whisper-wind surprise

Carlos gentle-pulled the maiden-close to-caress red-lips in a passion-kiss
River cadenced-flow embraced Love!-eternal to the couple’s sacred-bliss

Through sunshine Life!-Love! which came-upon yon pleasant-mesa there
Carlos broke wild-mustangs fulfilling cavalry-quotas caching money-fair

A Mexican-bandit could-not always be a mean-despicable desperado-man
Yon Candico-beauty tamed that savage-beast executing her-own Love!-plan

The pair began a long-time back on the peninsula in ole-town Tampico
Conchita was kissing handsome Carlos-man when spied by hot-Candico

The youthful-trio visited Fat-Garcia’s “Tamales & Tequila-refreshments”-café
Quickly things got out-of-hand when Conchita flirted in an embellished sexy-way

Savvy-Conchita knew a thing or two including how to fight and played her joker-card
Candico smashed the bar-gal’s face and said, “Careful whose man you-kiss! Ole-pard!”

The Indian-maiden grabbed long silk-black hair as the harlot reached to her-sash
Candico took away the knife and broke the stabber-blade in a wooden-table gash

Conformity-challenge charmed young-ladies, brought courage-admiration from the-boys
Carlos’-hip proud-carried a steel-blue polished six-gun not some just-for-show lethal-toy

Carlos-man and Candico sailed Ucitan’s Caribbean morning-tide to South-Padre Island-hop
Followed west the Rio-Grande 800-miles to yon Llano-Estacada arroyo-canyon country-stop

Bandito Pistola-Carlos hailed from yonder-way down in ole-Mexico
String-strummed soft-serenaded a beautiful Indian-maiden Candico

Bandito-Carlos had brazen robbed a Tampico-bank “just for some spending-money”
Police-authorities sporting Law & order! did not find his offender-trick humor-funny

Law-men kept a skeptic-eye on suave-handsome Carlos-the-bandito Mexican-man
“Peaceful-coexistence” promised best-result for all-concerned---one…“Good”-plan

The Federale-boys gave Carlos wide-berth allowing him horse-space for fun-’n-play
The-couple entertained their southern-soldiers adding-levity to their hum-drum day

Left-in-peace by army-boys they could find him easily if he needed to be arrested
Carlos wasn’t hiding in some hole-in-the-wall; his location seemed never-contested

Drinking tequila! Rolling-peyote! Playing el-diablo “el poker-cartas” with the-men
To keep his law-dogs satiated---sometimes ole-Carlos…would even let them-win

By some long-time when Carlos looked-back their-history was already-now
Days slipped into myriad-years as he thankful delicious-wondered---How!?

Waking to the sunrise-meal at first-hinted pale-pink blush of new-born dawn
Carlos viewed the herd and smiled at the sight-gift of a whitetail-doe and fawn

In soft-wind cool of mid-morn refreshed he worked the remuda of wild-mustangs
Under a high-noon sun enjoyed Candico’s tasty-offering for which he gladly-sang

Seniorita-Candico! You have easy-tamed me spirit-wild with beauty tender-Love!
I believe none-other can ever know my great-Happiness here with my Darling-dove!

Candico teasing-laughed as Carlos rode-away to haze the wily desert-ponies home
Her later-gaze toward Horizon-west saw his herd-coming under yon hot desert-dome

In the cooling-chill of days-end purple-eve he fueled the-fire within their tidy-nest
Two wolf-wild curs stood sentinel at the door as night-winds rustled a hide-wall test

Counting blue-white diamond sparkles slow-choreographed in yon canopy black-abyss
Carlos cadenced-rhythm matched Candico’s whisper-wind romantic-Love! shared-bliss

And---So?...one tender-sweet Love!-story goes---and…everybody surely knows:

Bandito Pistola-Carlos hailed from yonder-way down in ole-Mexico
String-strummed soft-serenaded a beautiful Indian-maiden Candico

That bandito Pistola-Carlos hailed from yonder-way down in ole-Mexico
String-strummed soft-serenaded a beautiful Indian-maiden Candico

Strummin’-time into the ’morrow-promise of Candico-Love! a sunrise-gold
Ole-Carlos and his Candico senorita-Love!---together-forever…I have-told!

Carlos-bandito is sad-mad quintessence of just some-damned-ole-alley-cat
Indian-maiden Candico gold-essence of his sainted-angel-pure-“Class-act!”

That bandito Pistola-Carlos hailed from yonder-way down in ole-Mexico
String-strummed soft-serenaded a beautiful Indian-maiden Candico

Amen!
