New Year's Eve!?---Really?...Doesn't seem like a shole-year!

'Twas the end of the year, I rattled my-mind

Resolutions!? Oh! Dear! What might I-find?

 

Lose-weight!? Diet!? No! Nothing like-that!

Work on co-ordination? I'm lithe as a "cat"!?

 

Maybe my "temper"---Well! it's about...gone?

Tune-up the vocals---Elvis-notes?...write a song?

 

My-language?---I know some words...un-obfuscated

Pray-more!---aid my-soul?...my spirit-consecrated?

 

Might learn to-cook?---Good-idea!...I know how to eat!!!

The yard needs tending!?---Oh!...It looks winter-neat!

 

How about-ambition?---Huh!?...I'm lazy by nature!

Well!---I've worked-hard!?...Is that just nomenclature?

 

Settle some debts?---Hmm!...I'm total out-of-money!

I know of some bee-hives! Might steal some-honey!?

 

How-about I do just concentrate on something I-Love! 

Sunrise! Baseball! Mother-Nature! Cosmos-above!

 

Live! Love! Laugh! & Faith! Family! Freedom!---True!

Nature! Seasons! Weather! Mountains! Oceans green-blue!

 

Or---sit under the silver-maple...watch my sacred whisper-wind!

Repent!---Confess-transgress!...Don't think I've too-bad sinned!?

 

Don my Santa Claus-suit?---Just did that...I'm fresh out-a free-loot

Maybe get some new-clothes?---visit Good-Will?..."hip-boots"!?

 

This resolution-stuff is going nowhere!---Clock's-ticking...New Year!

Onward to bed?---Celebrate! On the 'morrow!...absent all-fear!

 

So?---No!-resolutions! Again!...Seems I just can't make-'em!

Good-thing! With my-personality? I'd probably just break-'em!

Stealth!?---Pretty-tough!...especially on "their"-turf!

A dead branch hidden under fall's myriad-leaves! Damn!

 Sounded as loud as a rifle-report!---'Mmm!...Breathe!
 

I invaded their-world to hunt the whitetail on his-terms.

 

Hours!---more...sunset-approaches. Maybe?----not...today!?

 

Slowly back-out of the woods---Quiet!...Eyes-alert! Ears---more!

 

Then---there "it" is!...the "white"-ghost! Just a glimpse!

 

Albino-buck! An anomaly! A-chance meeting! A-treasure!

 

"I'll be back one day, Mon Amie!---one day...Soon!"

 

No! I'll never harvest a treasure the likes of you!

 

Just to know you are here---that...is-enough!

 

Adios! Compadre!---for now...we are not so-much...un-alike!

I came across a "special" notecard some-years ago that immediately

caught my eye: Ocean-waves breaking onto a beach with the breakers

becoming "wild"-horses romping toward the awaiting-land...

 

I often employ a copy of that card when I have a "special"-message.

I utilized that whimsical thought-provoking card today with a gift.

 

 

I captioned the card:

“From “wild”-dreams comes “awesome”-reality! Amen!

 I placed it in my book "...And Justice for all!" and gave it to Sir Commander.

 

It reads:

This “fantasy” embodies my-belief in the human-spirit “reality”. Enjoy!

 

When I wrote “…And Justice for all!” I did not know your-character.

Funny! The “hero” in my offering might well be---you…Sir Commander!

 

Know that wherever you may go, whatever you will do---you will never

be alone. Faith! Family! Freedom! Comforts your heart with sacred-Love!

 

Proud!-be (simple-humble)-I to know and love you as family and as friend!

 

“The only easy day was yesterday!”---I pray….all your days be safe-blessed!

 Our (U.S.) protected-future is in Good-hands! Indeed! Thank you!

Praise! Honor! Glory! Heaven-King

Seraphim & Cherubim celestial-sing

 

A heaven flash-vision: In a parklike setting emerald-green of grass, cerulean-sky, white-puff clouds, mirror-reflection lake, giant-trees, lush-fauna, myriad-birds and animals offer a comfort-home to brilliant-white spirit-souls meandering the pristine-manicured grounds. Color is not a view of prism-light refracted; rather, it is the live-quintessence of its essence-delight. Single-individuals, couples, threes and all various-collections enjoy a sacred venue-blessed. Among the gathered-saints strolls Jesus, radiant-white in a “heaven”-glow; members of the collective approach the “vision” in humble bowed-adoration. Touching His-light they are absorbed into it, returning from whence they came! Angels-abound the scene---in Heaven…as they do on-earth!

 

Saints-amongst-us!---Even…Angels, too!

 

God’s blessing for His-people is Life!---His exemplar lesson-true…is Love!

 

For (simple-humble)-I, the schooling offered Perfect-models to emulate; I had the kind of parents kids can only pray for; my poor-parents were “blessed” to suffer Rebel! Rascal! Rogue!-me!?

Christmas!-everyday!?---in memory?…easy!---in real-time?...easier! (by-choice)

 

Early-winter frost embraces-fully high upper-branches of the bare,

old elm–tree in the side yard between the rock-house where Grandma

and Grandpa lived when  I was just a kid and the Maeystown Creek which

still flows a frothy-churn caressing her rock-bottom interspersed with myriad tumbles

of miniature crystal-waterfalls as she relentlessly meanders westward to the Mississippi.

 

Obfuscating frozen-fog hugging-close the high, bare tree-limbs is captured in a

A 5” X 7” pen-and-ink drawing immortalizes the stone-house, creek and bridge.

The stark black & white daguerreotype-image captures the subtle home-ambiance

of a by-gone era; it hangs in our house with honor and respect deserving of Family!

 

Creativity-tribute to the artist preserves true-emotion:  Faith! Family! Freedom!

In my “often”-visits to the village-town, a plethora-of-memories offers a

satiated-spirit symphony of melodious Love!-tones sung by a pure-soul.

 

A cold northern-chill errant-wind challenges my heavy winter hooded-parka

as I huddle-tight against the onslaught while hovering across the narrow-lane in

search of some-reminder, a shadow on the old-house frosted-window, perhaps,

Dear Grandma-Rose, a Saint in life and angel in-heaven, or Grandpa-Edwin at

the kitchen-table on a Sunday anticipating the weekly-arrival of sweet-Family!

 

And---within that expectation of my-fantasy…the chill feels suddenly…cozy!

 

A-“They don’t live here, anymore!”-reality hinders-not my-Love! found in a

Fantasy-of-emotion within this gentle-heart embracing always sacred-Family!

 

Know this & most---“I love you!”…then…still, and…always! Amen!

Single holy-night to light the-Way-Redemption/Salvation!

O! Christmas-Eve! Idyllic-venue beautiful!-night

New-born scene: Babe! Mary! Joseph! Angel! Site!

 

On yon whisper-wind celestial-choir devotion-sing

Satiated holy-emotion comfort Seraphim & Cherubim

 

Sing-celebrate: “Joy! To the world!” “Peace-on-earth!”

Redemption!-Salvation! Christian-assured by Jesus’-birth

 

Hotelier offers shelter to a poor-family in desperate-need

His exemplar-generosity implants necessary Charity-seed

 

What!? Have (simple-humble)-I self-sacrificed to offer-aid?

What? Might I-do this day to comfort any who-prayed?

What? Did I demand for Christmas ill-mannered weighed?

What? Pernicious-hurtful silly-game might I have-played?

What? May me ’morrow-promise angelic-Good! display?

What? Value-Virtue sacred-debt I-owe any ever be-paid?

I once encountered a cold and hungry vagrant in an early-morning

Colorado-blizzard; he reluctantly accepted my monetary-offering.

Upon humble-reflection, I could have done much-better by giving him

my new-jacket. His blanket was tattered and torn and terribly-thin!

 

Often, we do the-best we-can!? Jesus---chose to-do…it-all! Amen!
