Sundays---
People become "perturbed"---maybe...
even Angry with me for my "positive" bearing.
I tend to smile---a lot...makes people nervous. Hmm!
That I do lead, and always have, a charmed life---
isn't by my deign...I seem to be the "victim" of Love!
Now, just maybe I "ain't" very bright---I think the very
best 4 years of my life attests to that conclusion by my
detractors...3rd grade, the best "4" years of my life
I recently met a former (long-ago) school mate; she
promptly informed, looking down a long-pointed nose
that she had written a book! Wow! Not to display my
ignorance (and lack of "wit") I quickly bellicose-chirped,
"Yeah!---Uh!?...Well! Somebody read me one!"
Guess I sure enough showed her; she is still laughing!?
When the weather offers pleasant sunshine caressing
perfect temperatures embracing a gorgeous day, even
the "perpetual-victims" will grudgingly acknowledging it.
Too such "ridiculous" negativity, I reply, "Every day!'
Gee! I like: rain, sun, snow, sleet, ice, hail, wind---Life!
Lo! These many years, now, on Sunday our family had a
routine: Breakfast, church, Mom's southern fired-chicken
for lunch, a six mile trip to visit beloved Grandparents at
"The farm" (a favorite refuge) or to Fox Lake (another
top-spot) for the afternoon with extended family and friends.
We celebrated one another---and...our wondrous life experience!
The farm offered good friends and relatives enjoying food
and talk and discussion and fun-time event-activities like
home-made ice cream, wild Morel-mushroom hunting,
fishing at the ponds, trips to pick up pecans down yonder
along the Kaskaskia River at Evansville, picnics, and more.
I love Winter, second only to Fall; then, Spring and Summer;
each is delightfully-exceptional and very close in popularity;
I can sip a cup of hot tea observing January frigid-snow, walk
the forest-fauna hills searching out wild mushrooms, fly-cast
an offering for Red-ear sunfish in the deep hole along the bank,
marvel at the fantastic thunderstorm, and, always thoroughly
embrace the absolute treasure of a whitetail scouting foray
amid the hardwoods ablaze with regal-royal paegent-colors.
Life---is "what" you make it!...Easy for "simple-humble" me!
Ahh! Sunday---Love! So exceedingly-blessed!
Live! Love! Laugh! & Faith! Family! Freedom!
Amen!
