Book II
Christmas
Perfect!
Christmas Perfect
In that eternal abyss exists a
Deity continuance
Absent parameters, expanding in
subtlety of nuances
Christmas Eve Day conjured up a warming
wind Chinook
In hope of dancing snowflakes
God’s little ones did look
Bright colored coats with scarves
a-flying in array
Nor’wester threatens frigid
weather right away
Assault the merchants in one
quickly final spree
Choose just those right gifts in
a spiritual of glee
Shop windows aglow with festival
delight
Center town Square a Christmas
sparkle-sight
Shoppers scurry to hide purchased
secret treasures
Sweet dreams come true in sharing
wanted pleasures
Church lawns declare with holy
manger scenes so placed
God’s own Son born to our Blessed
Virgin Mother chaste
Each passing year challenges
anew: how can it get even better?
True love discovered that first
time when he had gently kissed her
Held hands in shadow soft cast by
yon alabaster moon
Tender-kissed young love did
surely follow very soon
Anniversaries, kids and
grandchildren later
Love, honor, cherish one another
they do cater
A plain gold band sealed solemn
vow back then
A golden sphere of diamond hearts
this time given
The king is dead; long live the
king
Impromptu event unveils a copy-ring
The ceremonial mantle is
peacefully passed
Another Christmas Perfect has
arrived at last
Can any future such surpass in
another year yonder?
To do so will be a most
spectacular special wonder
Amen!
Christmas
Perfect!
Prologue
In that eternal continuum which is God, the
honest pursuit of excellence is worthy, yet, mostly elusive in the life of man
as perfection is sought. Free will bestowed, then practiced for good or
otherwise, the Deity’s omniscience cannot be denied; man can only seek. Pure
joy is derived solely from the challenge of the “doing”. Perfection! Indeed! C’est
la vie! Mon Amie!
The
Ring
Perfection!
A symbol of a continuing circle of perpetual love represented by two
interlocking hearts set ablaze with stunning blue-white diamond clarity. The
quintessence of God!
No
beginning; no end. Always present. Pure!
In
its very essence. Perfect!
In
its simple concept. God! Personified!
Rotate a ring on any diametric axis to
generate a perfect sphere. Contained in that globe is the nature of consecrated
love---which is, in its essence…God! The goodness in each of us is ever-expanding.
It is the capacity to transcend all that is not good in its various
manifestations which tempt man into transgression; a victory over the impure in
life for the cleansing of the soul through the Grace of the Holy Spirit. To
offer “love’ is to bestow the very gift of God. The ring is the perfect symbol
which illustrates the continuum that is God, Who is Love.
May the days in your “ring” all be
diamonds as you eternally treasure: Christmas Perfect!
Prayer: Dear Lord, Thank You for the
gift of life bestowed through Your everlasting love for me. Faith! Family!
Freedom! Shall be my proudly spoken credo, my worthy human quest, my sacred
spiritual desire. Through the Authority of the Father, The Blessing of Christ
Jesus and the Grace of the Holy Spirit I will triumph in the Kingdom’s promised
celestial infinity. Amen!

Day 358
Creek bed is
soft; a big, hard rain is coming---
creek’s flooded
We
had tried to buy several properties over the years; we ended up with 10-acres
overlooking the Mississippi River valley with a view to die for, swimming pool,
horses, etc.
So,
I get a phone call from a farmer whose land we had contemplated; he was
ready!
We
had looked at an 80-acre tract, a 140-acre piece and this 214-acre farm
earlier.
Only
six years into our newly constructed estate with the fantastic view (I still
miss seeing those sunsets) I sold our estate and we moved to the farm into a
dilapidated old farm house 150 years old and to get to the property we had to
drive through the Maeystown Creek. It was rock bottom and clear running; unless
we got a downpour, easily navigated---but…in the heavy rains?
Now
you probably won’t believe this---but…I can smell
snow on the air up to 24 hours ahead.
Also,
that old creek bed had a penchant to get “soft” around a day prior to a hard
rain; came to pass every time we had a gusher. It only rose two feet or so, but
was mighty swift. The downstream neighbor actually had his Jeep washed off his
concrete pad-bridge in a huge storm.
First
thing I bought after we acquired the farm was a Ford F150 4-wheel drive; we
managed.
Eventually,
I poured a concrete low-water bridge with two 12” corrugated-culverts to allow
for the natural flow; also, I built an emergency exit across the neighbor’s
land rocked with creek rock. Ah! The adventures of the “Gypsy”-life! Hmm! A
wonder she hasn’t thrown me out---Yet!
Ah! Cookie Jar Sweet “Creek’s risin’---again”
Memories!
