Evolution of Intelligent Life? (Part 2 of 5)

Dawning!

Craving companionship in a human effort to assuage feelings of loneliness and of depression, early man learned quickly to share his limited domain with like-minded creatures to the distinct advantage of all concerned. Tribes formed, leaders evolved; the “commune” was born as pre-historic life edged toward somewhat “civilized” custom, cordial to a varied extent; even, easier. Language developed.

Hunting parties managed to gather large portions of food, found ways to preserve the sustenance, shared the bounty with kin and neighbor, alike. Agriculture took root; thrived. Trade developed, grew and flourished. Such abundance allowed for expansion of the human species fostering society leading to culture. Though primitive, life, as they knew it, was considered good!

Mastodons, a precursor to the modern elephant, had managed to evolve and thrive becoming a huge population which provided sustenance for the human element. Twenty-five thousand years after our cave man kin had come on the scene, some two and a half millennia of evolution through anthropological gray matter determinations, man became so adept at self-sufficiency and collective adaptation of harmonious efforts for the good of all that he nearly hunted his food supply to extinction. Thus evolved animal domestication husbandry and efficient agriculture.

Collectives evolved growing into cities, then nations and finally, sovereign countries.

Though the process drew out long and arduous, intellectual curiosity eventually came to the forefront with unique perspectives, unlimited parameters, mathematics and logic leading to a longer life span, advances in medicine for better health along with education of the masses. “Good” for all.
