Cool!

Cool!

Now, that is cool…

Sunrise bright, high noon, sunset, midnight mist;
Flutter-bys amongst summer flower fragrances;
Spring-fresh showers, summer heat,
fall kaleidoscope, stark winter-white;
A plethora of comfort-love memories;
People, places, things to visit, to go, to do;
Dawn’s willing merge to orange orb globe,
High noon lunch shared amongst soft words,
Tender-shaded evening purple shadowed lines,
Midnight cooling dew upon yon emerald green;
Soft touch, kiss tender, raw passion---and…more;
Cerulean-deep Colorado white-peak pierced clear;
Wraith calling yearn rugged northwest coast lament;
Blue-green Pacific white-crest waves beckon strong;
Turquoise-aura alabaster sand beachscape Caribbean;
Dancing sparkle diamonds lap subdued waves against
anchored-bow of Dad’s and boy’s fishing ole rowboat;
Delicious bar-b-que: hamburgers, hot dogs, pork steaks;
Fox Lake clubhouse perched perfect upon the meadow hill;
Squeaky swing chain inviting splendid overlook lake view;
Light touch caress fine crafted tooling of a western saddle;
Pungent leather odor stirring nostalgia in the tack room;
Stroke soft the noble beast-friend to ride in playful fun;
Authority-speak of years: 10---25…50! Wow! Beyond!
New sun upon delicate loveliness must kiss thy cheek,
Intoxicating shampooed auburn-halo aura fine sight;
Love-tender true embraced in midnight-black abyss;
Turning of the universe each stride in perfect synch;
And, Thee! Within easy reach, right here, right now;
Seven jewels in me crown adorn a “Greatness” found;
Appreciate every each and all in humble “Thankfulness!”
More miles to trek on a journey-curious adventure-bound.

And, from the then into the now anticipating future space to come!

One day? Some time? Perhaps? Just…Now!
Create I! Events of a fantastic adventure---Life!

Be thee and me, we clearly see eternity key-free.
Amen!

Thank you! Lexi & dancers

Pirouette!
(June 27, 2015 annual performance)

Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!
Good show! Great theatre!

What an absolutely entertaining extravaganza! Perfecto!

The audience enjoyed an extraordinary display of class,
talent and beautiful dancers performing well-practiced
choreography on a fine Saturday evening of entertainment.

To a theme of “Time warp” a troupe of talented darlings donned
adorable costumes to sashay to the rhythmic beat of several decades
of music of the times. Pleasant memories from a lamented time past
intertwined with the modern era. A delightful experience for entertainers
and spectators, alike. Applause rang like the Liberty bell. Bravo!

These fine young ladies did themselves and their collective family---Proud!

Our future is well in good hands, Ladies and Gentlemen!

Thank you all so much for a delightful treat---in many, many ways.

Thank you!

God bless! Each and every one of you.
Amen!

Who can take the sunrise, sprinkle it with dew?
Cover it with choc’late and a miracle or two?
The Candy Man

Who can take a rainbow, wrap it in a sigh?
Soak it in the sun and make a groovy lemon pie?
The Candy Man

Who can take tomorrow, dip it in a dream?
Separate the sorrow and collect up all the cream?

Yes! I truly can! ’Cause I really am: The Candy Man!

"Free will" Blessing

A Blessing?

Man is "Blessed" by the Creator with "Free will" !

The necessary exercise of that ability, to make value judgments
and act upon them, demanded by the survival of life, itself,
determines an individual"s virtue. The choice  is independent.
Such decision is private and may, or not, become public knowledge.

The "Right" or "Wrong" of the perpetrated action is not relative to the
final decision of restraint or commitment in the exercise of  "Free will".
The individual decides; such decision does not change the Good or evil
of the deed either in purpose or intent. It can never be "un-done".
One always has the right to say "No!". There may well be consequences;
I'd rather be "un-popular" than condemned to "hell". It is a choice.
Virtue is its own reward!

Justification and rationalization of evil can only result in ruinization!
Lies only add to the evil of the transgression; no matter how often or how
many agree to the un-truth, evil remains sin.
"A rose by any other name is still a rose!"

"Ugly" cannot be lied into "Beauty", nor the reverse, not in reality.

If "authority" orders evil sin committed, "Free will" triumphs.
The "Good" decision must become the logical conclusion.
The "moral" compass cannot be "fooled" by a slight of magnetic lies.

Also, once the deed is done, forgiveness is available, but, denial is a lie!

It's Sunday! Celebrate! Choose wisely! Exercise: Free will!

Amen!

Michael Jamesl Bradley (RIP)

Michael

Really? Can it be already three years passed?
Only yesterday I thought forever we would last

You and I, different as night and day in this ole world
Fast friends through sacred images spiritually-swirled

“Do you ever feel like crying when there is no reason?”
He floored me! Then began a supernatural long season

Mentor Michael explained “Stirrings”, “Knowings” and such
Unwittingly, I had been waiting impatiently for His blessed touch

Spiritual images began in an earnest unrelenting deluge
Michael termed them “Visions”? For humble I---Too huge!

Overwhelmed with such proposition, “Undeserving!” did I protest
With chapter and verse Scripture-quotes Michael won that contest

Still, for many years, I referred to “Images” as beyond the realm
Navigating by the “Word” Michael sailed true the courage helm

Once, the “Saint” confessed a troubled questioned continuance
Found virtue of my quest in truth a sacred blessing reassurance

Not I! But, He! Proclaimed me in a meaning holy writ
He sends just what you need, when you most require it

Seventeen solemn years we shared a reverent-sacred relationship
Saw each other half a dozen times, yet survived such sponsorship

’Tis this bond: “Love of the Deity!” We holy found
A “heaven” compliment anointed our belief-bound

Compute the days to weeks to years and find a “Trinity” love-fest
Saint Michael, lowly me, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost the best

A final call told me last offered words best said to now do
He laughed at “Tell Jesus I said ‘Hi!’ Michael, I love you!”

Amen!

Tick!...Tick!...Tick!...

The clock is---running...

As surely as one takes a first breath,
So, also, shall he draw a final gasp.

Time is to the body as is demon death to life.
Inexorable! Nothing can be done to deny the evil.

But, not to despair. Do something with that gift of space
allotted thee. Search out an event; turn that into an adventure.
Allow the creative imagination be set free to soar the heavens.
Ye might be satiated just in the doing; challenge time!

Begin---Right...Now!

Take a breath and savor the freshness,
Slow down to actually taste each bite.
Embrace a friend offering a smile.
Seek butterflies and rainbows; absorb their colors.
Feel the wind with soft fingertips.
Listen to life-speak while hearing its message.
Practice: Unconditional Love!
Express emotion with heartfelt kind words.
Kiss gentle; then---Passionate!
Live! Like time is running out...

...Tick!...Tick!...Tick!...

Amen!

A "King's" Reign

King!

A King reigns when your progeny listen to your fiat.
Middle age is when they first begin to doubt your "Truth!"
Old age is asserted when they are openly disrespectfully defiant.
Senility comes with doubting your own best questionable conclusions.
Alzheimers offers Salvation as you begin to once again believe your "Reign"!

Amen!

Life cycle

Circle of Space

Awareness comes from restful sleep to greet the dawn
Cool misty morn dew heavy on manicured emerald lawn

Sunrise winds unfurl red, white and blue proud
Mid-morning hot in summer humidity shroud

I live just south of bright sun high noon
A bit west of alabaster pale full moon

Half-used afternoon found respite dappled shade
By supper bell I'll nearly have it safely made

Evening-cool served in softness purple embrace
Quiet on the porch swing within reflective trace

Night swallows day to count another time tally
Blue-white diamond abyss above a pleasant valley

Then, off to fantasy in surprise land of dreams
Replenish strength for 'morrow's challenge streams

Amen!

Good people, kind hearts

Thank you!

"Good" outweighs any bad in this ole world by nearly100%!

Oh! Evil gets its publicity by virtue of a global society hungry
to experience vile deeds of "bad guys" willingly displayed
by a media seeking ratings. Not true? Can you remember any
"positive" stories covered by "so-called" journalism-types?
Maybe, with effort, a very few. Human nature!? Maybe!
Everybody wants to be a "Victim"; we feel good felling bad!
Wow!
Of course, we could choose NOT to participate.

Try focusing on the positive aspects of a delightful life.
Be Thankful! Spread spirituality. Smile! Be humble.

Thank You for a gorgeous sunrise this fine summer day.
Let me lighten someone's burden today if only with a smile
from a stranger---Just because. Speak kindness, softly.

We spentSaturday at a horse show; all in all---Delightful!
Our daughter and her family invited us to dinner as a
celebration of Father's Day. There, we were surprised to be joined
by a very fine family we knew only casually.
While dining and over interesting conversation our friendship
deepened as knowledge and understanding developed.
When we asked for our check, it had already been taken care of
by our new friends, Mr. & Mrs. Payton.
Corrie and Rick. Thank you, so much!

These are the "Random acts of kindness" all should emulate. Daily!

Fantastic as that encounter with good food, fine friends and
delightful conversation had been, this Christian act by "Good" people
made for a lasting pleasant memory. I indulged in no dessert;
their "Sweetness" provided a complimentary delicacy.

Amen!

I am the Blessing;
The Holy Spirit is Grace!

Amen! To His True Word!

Honor thy father and thy mother. Amen!

Love! is the greatest among the Ten Commandments:
Love! God (I-III)
Love! Man (IV-X)

Love! Comforts us!
Love! Sustains us!
Love! Satiates our need!
Love! Saves all “Good”!
Amen!

Happy Father’s Day!

High Style

“High Style Trio”
(a proposal)

If I knew three gorgeous musical talents and
If I offered advice where none had been solicited,
If such idea might have merit of fortune, then---

I might suggest:

Establishment of a female trio teen group
to perform music and song employing
pleasant melodies resonating with lyrics
telling a story all on an inclusive mission
to laud exemplar values leading to an
emulation by fans to virtuous behavior
exhibited in thought, word and deed
including high morals, modest dress,
repudiation of drugs and promiscuity.

“High Style” personified in the humble
life of exemplary people with an agenda
succinctly, concisely and precisely
directed at changing the world---
For a decided…Better!

I have met such worthy teens,
our future is in capable hands!

It is time to promote: High Style!

What is old is new again! Amen!

This is your official invitation to:
A New Beginning to established traditional values!

Welcome!

Milestone

100 Posts!

You've come a long way! Baby!
Seems like it from here, looking back.

Why expend the effort? A fair query.

Tenacity!? Perhaps. Maybe just too dumb to quit.
I said that to friend Michael one time, he just laughed.
Giving up and walking away has no appeal;
Not to a confessed Independent Individual.
The dream never dies; sometimes gets delayed
with that eternal hope of Resurrection. Amen!

Alas! The Dreamer transcends space!

Celebrity!? I doubt that. Humble me always shuns
the limelight of faux importance:
There ain't no elite, no Royalty,
no erudite-sophisticates.
Any time that glow sought I, it was quickly re-focused on another.

Ego!? What others think of me is none of my business!
Oh! Sure enough! I have opinion on everything.
So what? Everybody else does, too. Big deal.

My conclusion: I simply love to write!
Maybe it gets read; maybe not. Doesn't matter.

The thought is there; it exists in this obfuscated mind;
it is expressed for whatever it might be worth, to someone.
Perhaps!

All we can bestow is Good to one another
The best we give is Love to each other

Live! Love! Laugh! Focus contemplate!
Vigilant be! Not one future be ever late!

Faith! Family! Freedom! Might just be all there really---Is!
In one eternal instant the only mercy-blessing will be...His!

Amen!

Have a great day! I most assuredly shall!

Special People

Poppy’s wheelbarrow

“The Farm” served as a refuge from the near-total boring realities of town-life, save sand lot baseball. Oh1 True enough. The stores, such as they were, happened to be convenient along with the church and school which provided adequate entertainment and distraction with a ball diamond and basketball courts. The cops, both of them, knew all the kids by name.

Unfortunately, so did nearly each member of the little farming community agri-opolis. That reality meant that if, or, more accurately, when, one transgressed the straight and narrow rules of 1950’s and 60’s America, it would be only a matter of a few purposeful phone calls “intended” not to be tattle-tailing on the miscreant, but, rather, to serve as an automatic indictment of the errant talents of the parents’ questionable child rearing abilities. Many times, such “jungle drum” news-action occurred over the backyard fence. By the time Dad got home from slaving at some job, somewhere, the “felon”-kid had already suffered “cruel and unusual” punishment at the hands of a mother intent on harping on the “sin” as though it was as bad as shooting the President. Threats of horrid punishment hailed like ice stones in a green-sky thunderstorm.

In the end, when dad had been properly apprised of the mis-deed, the reprimand might have been as slight as a verbal sermon with threats of annihilation for future repeated like-minded infractions to as severe as the sting of the raw leather belt being harshly employed. That one such as I had experienced each, along with many variant degrees within the latitude, goes without saying. Fortunately, the few “caught” offenses pale in comparison to the myriad abominations I managed to shroud. A kid’s commandment credo: Don’t get caught! I reverenced that rule.

“The Farm” offered everything a curious boy desired. The great-grandparents and the grandparents lived there, a delightful treat in, and of, itself. These were great people who respected each on their own merits, never looked down or talked down to one because of age or gender, found “Good” in their life and times, honored God and His created space. Love flourished. This was as much “home” as the house in town where I resided with my immediate family. I was welcome here and I knew it and appreciated the sentiment.

“Poppy”, my grandpa, and I were special friends; not in any manner spoken of made obvious; more like a kindred-spirit revelation between the two of us. He was a superior independent individual as were the other family members; Poppy and I seemed to have a unique relationship.

I loved each of these “saintly” people and they all did special things for and with each of the kids; he just did more with me, maybe because I was the oldest of the grandkid clan.

When I was four or five, I gravitated to Poppy on my many visits to the farm. He had an old, rusty, iron wheelbarrow he used to haul water in buckets to the hogs out back of the barn. I delighted in riding in the rusted pan of the contraption. The old iron wheel had rubbed against the bottom of the pan and worn a hole. I was always very careful to straddle that hole as the old rusty wheel seemed to just be waiting for a city-slicker kid to make a mistake. It never got me.

I did not wonder why they failed to repair the hole or get a new conveyance; this was a “make-do” generation who valued whatever they had, appreciated it, made it last. I savor those ideals and the sacred memories of that generation; hopefully, I learned a thing or two from them.

Today, a damaged item might be casually discarded and replaced with a new one. Easy!?

Personally, I am happy that my “angels” made-do as best they could. I happen to agree.

Maybe that’s why I am un-cool and un-hip in the modern world lexicon of faux ideals.

Thank you! I celebrate honoring “Independent individualism” by emulating my “saints”.

I wish Poppy could give me a ride in that old wheelbarrow today. I’d jump right in. Amen!

Celebrate: Life!

How?

You already know:

Be "Thankful" for everything;
Savor each morsel time allows;
Exercise body, mind, soul and spirit;
Challenge all the "Truths", especially---your...own!
Smile easily, laugh spontaneously; practice: Humble!
Don't take yourself so seriously, or, life either;
Sing welcome to the new dawn with the morning birds;
Don't complain about the gift of rain,
triumphantly dance between the drops;
Contemplate Mandelbrot and his "Star" theory;
Satiate thy spirit appreciating myriad blue white
sparkle diamonds diamonds in the black abyss;
Rekindle that naivete of childhood curiosity;
Dare explore new ideas; try a new food;
Take that long delayed vacation---plan it, do it!
Embrace someone you love, kiss them like you mean it!
Say "Thank you" more often for every little offered kindness;
Make someone happy with an offered smile to say "Hello!"
Think without a confining "box"---Truth? There ain't no "box"!

"Thank!" God for one more opportunity to get it right!

Amen!

Memories

Shadows

Within the archives of the mind
Images of yesrer-year are lined
Valued "Good" of emotional kind
Replay satiated near-wraith find
Events lived virtue pure designed
Memory-shadow pleasing refined
Celebrate/forgive spirit resigned

One day fair judgment reward shall come
"I did it my way" proclaimed proud by some

In time-gift of space upon His sacred trace
Pray I receive Salvation in that heaven-place

Be not surprised at some saints seen there
Thy presence also may give them a scare

For the memory-"Good" of each must stand alone
Only then shall earned halo-aura gold be shone

So, for "one day" capture some value-memories "Good"
One more chance today to do whatever-kind thee should
Within a contrite loving heart offer the very best thee could
Answer: Aye! To: Did ye perform it the same as Jesus would?

Dare challenge life with a soul pure white
Set resplendent spirit free in wild soaring flight

File safe those precious honor-memories for comfort sake
If I die before I wake, may Jesus my soul to heaven take

Amen!

Genesis

In the beginning was the Word
and the Word was God...

Each journey begins with an intentional-purposed first step---
Initiating commitment can be "simple", success not always "easy".

Amen!

I pray ye an awesome-wondrous adventure journey. Amen!

In the name of---

---the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen!

Blessings of Baptism exist in three formats:

Baptism by water;
Baptism by fire;
Baptism by desire.

Each declares the believer's sacred decision
to be a Christian and follow Jesus, affirming Faith.

Confirmation will later in the Christian journey
confirm that humble submission to God's will.

By water is the most common application employed
utilizing godparents as intercessors for the child.
By fire comes when a person who is un-baptized is
"saved" through dire circumstance, like in a war or crisis;
here, the opportunity for water baptism may be a possibility.
By desire is the intent by an individual to serve God's purpose
but finds the occasion of death to preclude the water ceremony.

Through God's perfect mercy, any one of these is acceptable.

Re-consecrate your Christian life each day.
He is patiently awaiting your declared intention.

In the name of...
the Father Who is the Authority-source of all creation,
and, of the Son Who offers His tender mercy-blessing,
and of the Holy Spirit Who bestows sacred Grace upon us.

Amen!

Yesterday I witnessed a Christian exhibiting Faith.
On a hot, humid late-spring day, the believer met the
refuse truck driver at the dumpster, smiled at the man
as a chocolate bar was handed to him with a heartfelt
"Thank you!" That driver seemed truly perplexed as he
finally comprehended, smiled and thanked his benefactor.

Later, I wondered which had been more blessed?

Blessed are the peacemakers...
Blessed are the meek...
Blessed are we all...
Amen!
