Who-died!?

 

“Did you hear who died?” queried the town gossip with

faux concern, secretly happy to have some new-fodder.

 

Why! It was ‘_____ _____’ - - - way to young…too-bad!”

“Oh! she’s been sick for a long-time.” Sadly shakes-head.

 

And-the next day dawn - - - was born…and lived?!

 

The Interstate was traffic-heavy; there were a few-

accidents; the hospital ER’s got their usual share of-

activity; babies came into the world; fortunes were made

and lost; the stock-market yo-yoed up and down;

people ate, worked, played, drove, slept, argued, and loved.

 

The world goes-on! Little-changes…one is gone.

 

Now - - - place “your name” in … the blank-spaces above?!

 

One day - - - way too soon…such will come to each! Amen!

 

And, then…
