Happy Birthday! Lovely-Lady! Candice Leah (Part 6 of 8)

 Happy Birthday! Lovely-Lady Candice Leah!

(May 8, 2023 Celebrate! Yea!)

And---Somewhere in time & space I awoke aware of God’s awesome gift-of-sacred life---then I resolved to Honor my Benefactor’s Love…by appreciating life & love embracing it completely!

When, one fine day at 12 years-of-age, I busily removed a cherry tree in Grandma’s hedge- row, across the vacant lot separating me from a side street came soft “whispering”-sweetness calling to “shy” me, “Hey! Big-boy! Don’t hurt yourself!Wow! Candy-girl! Speaking---to…me!

A “Thunderbolt!Love!-strikes! An innocent 12-years-old sledgehammered by eternal-Love!

Amen! A God-send! To me!---And, to Lovely-Lady Candice Leah?...Eternal Love complete!

An Honor-pledge of Love & Respect! My “word”! Sacred! My “bond”! A Gentleman! I pray!

Both of us in college with me working nights and residing in a mobile home we rented until her Dad and I finished her parents’ basement into an apartment where we lived until graduation. Then, we bought an older house, fixed it up, bought 10-acres, sold the house and built a new home on the bluff overlooking the Mississippi River bottoms with one Fantastic-Awesome view.

We got Caty a horse and I put in a swimming pool. Candy decorated with class to Perfection!

Becky was born shortly before we moved into the new domicile, we lived there 6-years!

I “Sold” that  semi-“mansion” and “trade-“up” to a 214-acre farm, built a new home and constructed a pool, increased our horse-herd to 7-steeds. We had a rock-bottom creek where the girls and I had “horse”-play races as the kids tried to literally “Drown”-Dad! Fun! & Games!

We vacationed Colorado and Oregon. The Rocky Mountains stole my heart and won my spirit; I seriously considered moving there. Oregon seduced my heart and soul and captured my spirit. After 11 years on the farm, I “Sold” it and the tribe emigrated to the Great Northwest!

A caravan traversed west by north with Z. Tyler my co-pilot in the Ryder truck. We celebrated his 2nd birthday “on-the-road”! One Fabulous-adventure! Wouldn’t have missed it for the world!

Caty attended Law School in Oregon, Becky finished High School. Caty did her final year at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee; the clan moved South. We came back to Oregon for Law School graduation and a final “Good-bye” to the Great Northwest. Exciting-adventure!

Eventually, the family resettled in Illinois. Lauren! Lexi! & Anna Marie were born there.

Thank you! Dear Lady! For patience! “Understanding”. Support. Being a Good-sport! Amen!

I reckon, upon reflection, one of us had to be the “adult”?---Of course…It wasn’t me!

I confess that I saw life as one Great-adventure, a time for Fun-through-space! Irresponsible!

Somewhere in the swirl of “living-for-the-adventure-fun”, I managed to allow a modicum-of-ambition buying numerous properties and constructing “estates’ with pools and stables. Seems every time Lovely-Lady Candice Leah perfected her “new” home to elegant-ideal---I…”Sold” it!

No complaints! Ever! Encouragement! & Support! Always! My Saint! My Angel! Thank you!

I’ve enjoyed an Awesome-wonder adventure! I pray thee had a Fantastic “joy” along the way.

Through the clarity-absolute---one thing for certain…Each dawn I Love-thee more! Amen!

Comes, then, the dawn offering another adventure promise event!

Orange-orb sunrise affirming sight to Love the holy-sacred nuance!

Ancient silver-maple filigree dapple-shade resting labor muscle-strain!

High-noon comfort golden-warm where I reside just south beyond!

Afternoon ice-cream sweet-treat to cool a tired body desiring rest!

Purple-eve soft-shadows tending supper’s fried chicken dinner-fare!

Midnight-dreamscape Wild-unicorn Magic to soar an eternal cosmos!

Happy Birthday! Love, Carl Edward
