Happy Valentine Day!
Sometime
in her delicious Fantasy Dreamscape Magic Unicorn occurred.
“Oh! Hi! Magic!” Smiled the little girl. “Meow!” Kitty-cat Penelope
purred.
“Good morning! Young-lady Gabriella Leigh and to you Penelope-cat.
“Happy
Valentine Day! Let’s take an
adventure wearing a red Heart-hat.”
Quickly
wide awake Gabriella donned the
offering in celebration.
Penelope got one, too; Magic Unicorn joined in the fun-flirtation.
“You
look kind-a Cool in a heart-hat, Magic.” Miss Gabriella giggled.
Kitty-cat
pawed at her bright-adornment, shook her head and wiggled.
“Oh! Pretty-Penelope! Please leave it on,”
Magic cajoled. “It’ll sure be fun.
“We’re
going to ‘eternal’ Rome to visit St.
Valentine before we’re done.”
“Goodie!” Clapped the little girl. Then,
“Who’s St. Valentine?” She said.
“A
Bishop way back. He wrote Love-letters
with pictures of hearts red.”
The
happy trio soared through a chill night across wide-water to Coliseum-Rome.
“That’s
ole ancient Italy, Girls.” Magic advised
as they spied Nero’s gold-dome.
“2,000-years
ago Bishop Valentine was pirate-captured
and made a slave.
“He
tended animals 3-years, escaped and returned being a man very brave.
“Falsely
accused, the emperor put him in jail but he made the very best of his fate.
“He
wrote letters-of-Hope to his jailer’s
blind-daughter full of Love against evil-hate.
“He
decorated the pages with drawings of Love-hearts
colored bright-red.
“For
Valentine’s Faith-in-the-Lord he wears a golden-halo ’round his
head.”
Gabriella Leigh listened
intently, not missing a word, taking it all in, a bit dazed.
“You
mean he died for being Good helping
unfortunate people!?” She was amazed.
“’No
Good-deed goes unpunished’,” Magic answered, trying “wisdom” to convey.
“An
idiom meaning “Life is unfair”, still
one must try to holy-sacred Saintly
purvey.
Miss
Gabriella pondered Magic’s lesson. “You mean ‘Always do Good!?’”
“Yes!” Comforted Magic, adding, “And, you forever do as you should!
“St. Valentine Day holy-Love red-hearts shows us that surely we
could.
“Most
problems are solved with honest-Truth
if only practice we would.”
Kitty-cat
napped on the long-trip home to again safe in the ole U.S. of A.!
Morning
found Missy writing red-heart color Valentines-of-Love! To say!
“I
Love Mommy & Daddy and the whole
world! Happy Valentine Day!
